- Rodrigo· July 20th, 2023The guides in Rabaul were utterly kind and helpful, a bit late but I reckon that's due to their local culture. Also, I would have appreciated some help from the organiser in Port Moresby airport to take the domestic flight to Rabaul. Anyway, I had a very good time in the mask festival and in Papua New Guinea with the fantastic people I met over there. Buena tuna! (Thank you in Tolai language).Show more

Asked on January 11th, 2024Do you have any tours on the tribes in Indonesia during February?

Traveler•Written January 2024One of The following tribes I can visit or any of your suggestions: 1-mount Hagen 2-crocodile man. Basically a primate tribe that still wear their official travel cloth and have not been exposed to modern life. Please present me with a budget and the days needed. The shorter the trip the better for me.
- Crooked CompassOperator•Written January 2024
Those two regions are in Papua New Guinea not Indonesia. The shortest you can do with Mount Hagen is 4 days and for the Sepik region is 7 days. We do not recommend the Sepik region in February due to wet season and flash flooding. It will also be wet in the highlands where Mount Hagen is located and landslides can also occur. A rough budget for a private tour throughout these regions for 1 traveller would be roughly $1000AUD per person per day.
