Hanoi
You'll arrive in Hanoi and get transferred to your hotel. Check-in opens from 2pm onward, though early check-in is available for an extra fee if you need it. After settling in, the evening is completely yours. Some people catch a traditional water puppet show if they're up for it, while others prefer grabbing dinner with French colonial cuisine. It really depends on how you're feeling after your flight.
Optional Activities

- Day 2
Hanoi
A local English-speaking guide meets you to explore Hanoi. You'll start at Ba Dinh Square and see the Ho Chi Minh mausoleum, then move on to Ho Chi Minh's house-on-stilts and the One Pillar Pagoda. From there, head to the Temple of Literature, which dates back to the 11th century and served as Vietnam's first university. By afternoon, you'll spend time at the Museum of Ethnology where the outdoor section really stands out with its authentic stilted houses showing ethnic heritage. As evening hits, a walking tour takes you through the Old Quarter where you'll try local dishes like Bun Cha and Banh Cuon at different spots. The tour ends at an 'international corner' spot known for draught beer where both locals and tourists hang out.
