- LLinda· March 27th, 2024On the go Tours PRIOR to leaving was good. The overall experience of Morocco was good. The highlight of the entire trip was the camel trek to the Sahara desert. The trip notes CLEARLY stated that we would ride camels both for sunset AND sunrise. However, while we were eating a late dinner, the camp manager came around and started explaining how the morning would unfold. He stated we would ride a "jeep' back in the morning. I was confused by this so my husband and I approached our tour guide later that evening to get clarification. We were very clear we wanted to ride camels back in the morning. Very Clear! We were provided with vague reasons for the change. Its a big drive day tomorrow. The weather may be rainy. But when we kept pursuing the issue he finally raised his arms and said "I am just doing what my manager told me". There is no internet service in the Sahara yet somehow On the go Tours told me I should have contacted someone at 11pm. I am on vacation and the contract I signed with them stated that camels would be rode back in the morning. Perhaps they should have made an effort to contact me directly about this major change. (And I fully understand that circumstances may change an itinerary but with valid justification) We were on a private tour so time should not have been an issue. On the go Tours told me that because of "other travellers feed back" they felt the second camel ride was too much. This was NEVER communicated with me at any time prior to leaving for this trip. I am "not other travellers". The trip notes stated that if i preferred to ride in a car back I could request that I did not request that. I am completely disappointed in the run around answers I have received for this major cancellation. Basically there is no valid reason. If such a major change in an itinerary is made than it should be clearly documented both written and orally. Especially in a country where language is a barrier. Trip of a lifetime, bucket list item, failed to happen because On the Go Tours failure to communicate properly. And all the blame has been placed back on me because they are accusing me of not speaking up. I clearly spoke up. They failed to fulfill the contract I signed. Do not book with them.Show more
