  • 7 Days Adventure Tour reviewer 1
    · December 28th, 2022
I booked a "7 days Adventure tour of Nepal "with Nepalgram in early Nov of 2022. Arun was helpful as the owner/guide and had Anzan accompany me. I had wrenched my knee about a month before this trip so had to minimize the hiking, but it was still a good culture trip! Arun had all the accommodations and transport figured out...and after a day or so in Kathmandu Anzan and I bussed to Bandipur, a really cute village where we did a small hike, visited the shops and took in the beautiful views of the Himalayas. Next we bussed to Pokhara, a trekker's base, and it is a cute town with lovely hills around Fewa Lake. We visited the the International Mountain Museum, very enlightening, and also drove up to the highest spot nearby, Saranghot Hill, to take photos of the Himalayas..which seem to float behind the clouds. Stunning scenergy. Next was a bus to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha...now a pilgrimage destination with many temples nearby built by many countries. Then onto Chitwan National Park for a couple of days. Though we didn't spot a tiger, we did see two kinds of rhinos, many birds, owls, Spotted and Sambar deer. The lodge beautiful!... Anzan was a fun, young man who was easy to travel with. The bus rides in Nepal are fairly bumpy through construction zones and can be long...but you do see some beautiful country. Anul will customize your experience...I should have had him arrange a flight back from Chitwan to Kathmandu. The Kathmandu touring was fabulous and so very different from Western Culture..., from the Monkey Temple to the Boudhanath Stupa (both must sees), Durbar Square with its fabulous temples, and Pashupatinath (the Hindu temple and where we witnessed the cremation ceremonies on the banks of the sacred Bagmati river),. What an experience. I would like to return! It was quite fun and interestingjust exploring the streets and shops in Thamel area. Arun does a great job of communicating and trying to meet any needs or wishes you have. On my last day he took me shopping and to an area by rickshaw where he told me the history of Kumari Bahal. The Kumari Devi is a living goddess and is an important deity to the people of Kathmandu. Nepalgram is the type of small operator I highly suggest you give an opportunity to arrange your travel and guide you on treks. He is smart, experienced, and loves what he does.
