The experience of this trip was utterly extraordinary. Ryan and Marcos made the trip an absolutely unforgettable experience. From the outset, Ryan made everyone so comfortable and that allowed strong bonds to form throughout the travel group. Overall the trip allowed myself to form genuine bonds with people from differing corners of the world, whilst also seeing the various beautiful landscapes and architecture that Europe has in multitudes.

Thoroughly enjoyed the contiki trip I chose as my contiki manager Courtney was enthusiastic and eager to ensure everyone’s experience was as memorable as possible. She provided history lessons on landmarks as well as tips and tricks along the way so we were an incredibly lucky bunch!

The tour guides were nice. I felt we had such little time at places. The group became very divided on the trip and felt very uncomfortable. It felt like high school all over again. Not the ideal relaxing, exploring style vacation I had hoped for. I have gone on multiple tours with different companies. Contiki was by far the most disappointing in both food and the experiences. Very little comes included in the hefty price you pay. The included meals were at the hostels. These included meals were not cuisines from the region we were in, but rather bland styled pasta or easy cheap carbs. I felt like I wasted time on a vacation I could have planned myself for half the price.

I loved my tour guide Rémi, he was very informative and answered all of our questions. If he didn’t know the answer, he’s do his research and would eventually get back to us. My group of friends and I left the group after Rome and went to other parts of Italy and we had no idea what was the best route to get to our next place and Rémi looked up as much information as he could. He was also very accommodating to everyone and genuinely wanted everyone to have a trip of a lifetime. Attila was the best, most skilled driver I ever had. I’d literally trust my life with this man. He could maneuver the bus through a hayfield. About the trip in general, this has nothing to do with Rémi or Attila, I was a little disappointed in how little was included in our trip. I was expecting to have access inside the places that were listed on the itinerary; for instance, in Barcelona it was listed we’d see Park Güell and La Sagrada Família. I had assumed we’d automatically have access to these sites but we were told a couple days before we’d be in Barcelona that we’d have to get tickets on our own to these sites and by then, it was too late to get tickets to la Sagrada Família so that was disappointing. This is how it was for Paris in terms of the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre but luckily, we were able to get tickets in time. I think Contiki needs to let people know that if they want to see these monuments, then they’ll need to buy tickets ahead of time because we had no idea until days before. I also think there was a ton of time spent on driving whereas, we could’ve spent more time in the cities had we flown or taken a train overnight; I would’ve been willing to pay more if it meant more time in the cities. It definitely was a trip of a lifetime, I have #noregrets but I think those are some changes that could be made and would greatly benefit everyone!

Remi did an excellent job. He was always available for questions and guidance. He was super helpful and made sure to keep everyone safe. He gave us suggestions to do in our free time and even researched the nearest doctors around if we felt sick. He went above and beyond. Atilla was also amazing and was a safe driver. I would highly recommend this trip
