Asked on August 31st, 2024I am interested in your 11 day select tour. I'm interested to know if you have any provision for a solo traveller? I am willing to share a twin room with another traveller. If this is possible then, could you send me the cost for the tour for a single person.
- Stray TravelOperator•Written September 2024
Yes if you are happy to share a twin share room with another traveller then that is completely okay with us and we will pair you up with someone of the same gender on the tour. The price that you see listed here is the price if you were to share with another person on tour.

Asked on January 12th, 2023I'm an exchange student and I'm 15 Years old. I would love to travel in New Zealand. Is it possible with this organisation?
- Stray TravelOperator•Written January 2023
We don't accept passengers under 18 without a parent or guardian I'm afraid.

Asked on June 18th, 2022May I ask if there is an alternative to this? As my mother is not confident cycling. May I also ask roughly what time the tour starts off every day?
- Stray TravelOperator•Written June 2022
The cycle along the Old Coach Road is simply a few hours long and is done on an electric bicycle which requires little fitness and the views are simply stunning. However if your mother prefers not to do this activity we perhaps can look into alternatives pending authorisation from our operations team. Our tour departs at roughly 7:30am/8am each day.

Traveler•Written June 2022May I ask what are the possible alternatives for the cycling activity?
- Stray TravelOperator•Written June 2022
Rather than cycling the Old Coach Road with other passengers, how about if you mother cycle around Ohakune Township? Our local operator is based in Ohakune, so your mum (or you with her) can hire bikes, either e-bikes or regular bikes you prefer. And you guys can explore the famous ski/alpine town with your own pace. The streets or cycle trails around town are quite flat and easy to ride for beginner riders as long as she can ride. Maps or recommendations can be provided by the cycle operator. Otherwise, we would recommend she explore the township or nearby short tracks by foot when you go for the Old Coach Road Cycle Tour.
