Itinerary
- Day 1
Frankfurt to Colombo
Your flight departs Frankfurt headed toward Colombo. You'll arrive the following morning, so this is mainly travel time to get settled in for the overnight journey.
- Day 2
Colombo to Habarana
Landing at Colombo airport, you'll head inland through rice fields and small villages to reach Habarana. Check-in happens from 14:00 onward. If you're interested, there's a jeep safari option in Minneriya National Park later in the day.

Sigiriya - Hiriwadunna
This morning takes you to Sigiriya to see the Lion Rock, a UNESCO site that rises 200 meters out of the jungle. You'll also spend time in Hiriwadunna experiencing village life with ox cart rides, catamaran sailing, and watching a cooking demonstration. A typical local lunch is included before heading back to Habarana.

Habarana to Kandy
Start with the Golden Temple of Dambulla, another UNESCO spot featuring five rock caves filled with Buddha statues and frescoes. After that, you'll check out the island's largest spice garden to see and smell the different varieties. From there, drive to Kandy for your overnight stay.

- Day 5
Kandy
Following breakfast, head to the Temple of the Tooth to see one of Buddhism's most sacred relics. Spend the day exploring Kandy's local traditions, visiting wood carving and gemstone centers. Later, catch a traditional dance performance and have dinner at your hotel.

Nuwara Eliya - Haputhale
Visit a working tea plantation and factory to understand how Ceylon tea is produced. Then board a scenic train ride through mountain passes toward Haputhale, passing through tea plantations and mountain streams with lush green terrain all around.

Yala National Park
Early in the day, take a tuk tuk up to Lipton's Seat for views across tea plantations and mountains. Afterward, drive south to Yala National Park where an optional jeep safari lets you look for elephants, water buffalos, crocodiles, monkeys, various bird species, and if you're fortunate, leopards.

Galle - Beruwala
Visit an elephant orphanage caring for injured and abandoned animals, with a chance to watch feeding time. Then drive to Galle to explore the historic fort built by the Portuguese in 1588 and later fortified by the Dutch. From there, continue to your seaside hotel in Beruwala.

Beruwala
Spend the day relaxing at Beruwala's beach, one of Sri Lanka's nicer seaside spots with a sandy stretch that runs for about a kilometer and is lined with coconut palms.

Another day to relax at your beach hotel in Beruwala. You can swim, rest, or explore nearby coastal areas at your own pace.

Continue enjoying beach time at your hotel in Beruwala. Take it easy and soak in the coastal atmosphere.

Beruwala to Colombo to Frankfurt
Have breakfast at your hotel before heading to Colombo around noon for a city tour. Then you'll go to the airport for your evening flight back to Frankfurt.
