Itinerary
- Day 1
Bad Ischl
You'll arrive at the hotel and get your tour documentation sorted. This is your chance to settle in, get oriented with the area, and prepare for the cycling adventure ahead. Take time to unpack and familiarize yourself with the local surroundings before things kick off tomorrow.
 - Day 2
Bad Ischl to Weißenbach
Start cycling from Bad Ischl down the Traun River valley toward Weißenbach in the Weißenbach Valley. You'll ride through wooded areas alongside the stream, eventually reaching Lake Attersee at the village of Weißenbach. If you're feeling up for it, there's an optional afternoon loop around the lake (about 50 kilometers) to explore more of the shoreline.

Weißenbach to Strobl
Today's route is mostly flat as you cycle to Mondsee via Unterach am Attersee, hugging the western shore with the Drachenwand mountain visible across the water. From there, head to St. Lorenz with a short climb up to Scharflinger Höhe, then continue to Lake Wolfgangsee. You'll pass over Krottensee lake on your way to St. Gilgen, Mozart's hometown, and finish the day following the lakeside path into Strobl.

Strobl
This is a free day around Lake Wolfgangsee where you can pace yourself. Check out St. Wolfgang, a pilgrimage site with a notable church right on the lakeshore, plus the famous White Horse Inn. If you want something more active, the cogwheel railway from St. Wolfgang heads up to Schafberg summit and offers great views across the region from the top.

Strobl to Bad Goisern
Ride along the old Ischl Railway line route, passing through Pfandl (a historic salt boiling location) and into Bad Ischl. From there, follow the Traun River to Ebensee on Lake Traunsee, then board a boat to cross over to the Hoisn inn. After, cycle the northern shore around Gmunden and Traunkirchen, where there's a monastery that's over 1,000 years old. Head back via Bad Ischl and follow the Traun upstream to Bad Goisern.

Bad Goisern to Bad Aussee
Cycle along the eastern shore of Lake Hallstatt with views that look like a Norwegian fjord, plus the Dachstein Mountains and glaciers visible in the distance. You can detour to the village of Hallstatt itself if you'd like. Check out the Koppenbräller stalactite cave, then climb the pass road over Koppentretalm pasture and Koppen Pass before descending into Bad Aussee.

Bad Aussee to Bad Ischl
You're heading back from Bad Aussee to Lake Hallstatt, crossing from Styria into Upper Austria along the way. Follow the Traun River, which starts up in the Totes Gebirge mountains, using the East Bank Cycle Path along Lake Hallstatt. Pass through Bad Goisern, a mountain biking hotspot, and return to Bad Ischl where your cycling tour wraps up.
