Itinerary
- Day 1
Colombo
You'll arrive at Colombo International Airport where a representative meets you in the arrival hall. The drive to Colombo city takes about an hour, and you'll check into your hotel for the night.

Colombo to Habarana
After breakfast at the hotel, you'll head to Habarana, which is roughly a 5-hour drive. The Dambulla Cave Temple is first on the agenda, a UNESCO site with roots going back to the 3rd and 2nd centuries BC. From there, you'll climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress, the former palace of King Kassapa and also UNESCO-listed. You'll stay overnight in Habarana.

Habarana
Starting with breakfast, you'll visit Polonnaruwa, the second oldest city in Sri Lanka's kingdoms. Later in the afternoon, head out for a safari at Minneriya National Park, where you can see the large elephant herds the area is known for. You'll return to Habarana for the night.

Habarana to Kandy
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Kandy, which takes around 3 hours. Check out the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Garden near the Mahaweli River, famous for its orchid collections. Overnight at Earl's Regent Hotel in Kandy.

Kandy
Start with breakfast, then visit Sri Dalada Maligawa, the Temple of the Tooth Relic in Kandy. This sacred site houses the Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha within the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy. You'll stay another night in Kandy.

Kandy to Ella
After breakfast, you'll head to Kandy Railway Station and board the scenic train departing at 8:56 AM, arriving in Ella at 3:17 PM. This train journey ranks among the most scenic in the world. Your driver meets you at the station and takes you to your hotel in Ella for the night.

Ella
Start with breakfast at the hotel. There's an optional trek up Ella Rock if you're up for about 4 hours of hiking. From there, you can visit Little Adams Peak and the Nine Arch Bridge. Return to the hotel in the evening for the night.
