Bordeaux
Your cycling adventure kicks off in Bordeaux where you'll meet your local Headwater-appointed agent. They'll get your bike set up properly, walk through the route notes with you, and point out the places worth seeing along the way.

Bordeaux to Entre-deux-Mers
You'll cycle from Bordeaux into the Entre-deux-Mers wine region, following a dedicated cycling path toward the fortified village of Creon. From there, head through the vineyards around Cadillac where you can sample the area's variety of wines—dry and sweet whites, reds, rosés, Clairets, Crémants, and Fine de Bordeaux.

- Day 3
Entre-deux-Mers to Saint-Emilion
Pedal through more Entre-deux-Mers vineyards between the Garonne and Dordogne rivers. You'll pass through Rauzan with its medieval chateau, then continue on to Saint-Emilion. Stop by the historic grotto where a Breton monk settled back in 750, check out the town's historical spots, and meet with local winemakers to taste their exceptional wines and vintages.

- Day 4
Saint-Emilion to Blaye
This leg takes you cycling along the Bordeaux and Côtes de Blaye vineyards as you head toward Blaye. Once there, you can explore the impressive 17th century citadel that overlooks the Gironde River. Get to know the Blaye-Côte de Bordeaux appellation and taste its distinctive red wines with strong fruity aromas and white wines featuring notes of boxwood and citrus.

- Day 5
Blaye to Médoc to Bordeaux
You'll take a boat across the Gironde River to reach Lamarque and the famous Médoc vineyards with their chateau wine cellars. After that, check out Fort Médoc, part of the historic Vauban defensive system. Then cycle through Médoc's vineyards, hedged fields and moorland, eventually heading back to Bordeaux.
