The Elephant Jungle sanctuary tour was the highlight for us; it was a smaller personalized group. We had so much fun with the elephants. I enjoyed the elephant sanctuary, i also did the tigers on my own and had a wonerful time. Everyone was wonderful and i felt safe at all times even at night. - LSLeslie· December 6th, 2024I want to start by saying that I loved Thailand, and the itinerary for the Fantastic Thailand Tour was perfect. We covered a lot of ground in just 8 days and saw many of the key attractions that Thailand has to offer. The tour guides were fantastic for the most part—friendly, knowledgeable, and very accommodating. Several of them even took us to additional places that weren’t on the itinerary but that we expressed interest in, which we really appreciated and know they didn't have to do that. However, there were some negatives regarding the hotels. Two of the three hotels we stayed in were quite disappointing. I chose the 3-star option after researching all three categories (3-star, 4-star, and 5-star), and honestly, they didn’t seem that different online. This may partly be my fault for not upgrading. One hotel was so bad that I completely ditched it and booked another place. It was gross! The second hotel was bearable but still pretty bad; and it was in a terrible location in Phuket—up on a hill with nothing around, including no restaurants. When I arrived at the hotel in Chiang Mai (the really bad hotel) and realized I couldn’t stay there, I complained to the tour operator, but they weren’t very helpful or accommodating in finding a new hotel. Additionally, after much prodding, they finally refunded me what was probably one night’s worth ($55), even though we were there for three nights. At that point, I didn’t care about the refund; I just wanted to get out of there! I also didn’t love that we had to book our own internal flights; I feel like that should be handled by the tour operator. However, it worked out fine in the end. Overall, despite the hotel issues, I truly enjoyed my experience on the Fantastic Thailand Tour and would recommend it for its engaging itinerary and excellent guides.Show moreTrip date: November 2024

Also,this is not an “escorted tour “ so you will not have on tour guide throughout and you will not be staying with or seeing the same people each day. Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai were great, but it is a very long tour day to drive to Chiang Rai and the Golden Triangle from Chiang Mai in one day.
