Itinerary
- Day 1
Venice
Arrive at your 3-star hotel in Venice Mestre and get settled in. The day is open for you to start getting to know the floating city. You can wander through the narrow Venetian alleys at your own pace, stop by the Doge Palace if you're interested, or take a gondola ride through the canals. Venice's city center is only about 20 minutes away, so there's plenty of time to explore without feeling rushed.

- Day 2
Venice
After breakfast, you'll have options for how to spend your day in Venice. You could take a half-day boat tour visiting Murano, Burano, and Torcello islands where you'll see glass-blowing demonstrations. Another choice is a guided walking tour that takes you through Piazza San Marco, across the Rialto Bridge, and to La Fenice Theater and Palazzo Contarini del Bovolo. Or if you prefer something more intimate, arrange a private gondola ride through the canals to explore at a slower pace.

Venice to Florence
After breakfast, head to the train station and board a high-speed train heading to Florence, which takes about 2 hours. Once you arrive, check into your hotel and then spend the rest of the day exploring the historic city center at your own pace. Walk over to see the Duomo, wander through Piazza della Signoria with the Loggia dei Lanzi, and make your way across Ponte Vecchio. Later, find a restaurant to try local specialties like Fiorentina steak paired with great red wine.

- Day 4
Florence
After breakfast, you have choices for exploring Florence. The other option is a guided tour of the Accademia Gallery with skip-the-line access so you can see Michelangelo's David and other masterpieces without waiting.

Florence to Rome
After breakfast, make your way to the train station and board a high-speed train to Rome, arriving after about a 2-hour journey. Check in at your hotel upon arrival. The rest of the day is yours to explore Rome and get familiar with the Eternal City. Spend time wandering through different neighborhoods to get a feel for the place and its 2500 plus years of history, iconic Roman ruins, art, and architecture scattered throughout historic squares.

Rome
After breakfast, you can choose how to explore Rome. One option is an all-day Hop-On/Hop-Off bus tour on a double-decker coach with an audio guide, letting you move around at your own pace and stopping at highlights like the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Palatine Hill, Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Vatican Museums, and St. Peter's Basilica. Alternatively, take a guided walking tour through Rome's historic center to discover lesser-known spots and learn the stories behind them.

Check into your hotel and then spend the rest of the day relaxing and exploring Sorrento at your own pace, getting a sense of the local atmosphere and coastal scenery.

Sorrento
After breakfast, you have options for discovering Sorrento. One choice is a guided walking tour through the narrow lanes where you'll learn about the city's history, lemon cultivation, and local products like olive oil, cheese, and wine, with visits to production facilities to see how things are made. Your other option is a guided tour through a traditional lemon garden where you'll find out about Sorrento lemon growing techniques, the history behind them, and finish with a tasting of local specialties.
