Nairobi
You'll arrive in Nairobi and get transferred to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day resting and letting your body adjust to the local time zone before your safari begins.

Nairobi
Start at the Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage to see how orphaned elephant calves are raised and prepared for release into the wild. After that, you'll tour the Karen Blixen Museum, then head to Kazuri Beads Workshop to watch traditional ceramic bead making in action. Later in the afternoon, hand-feed endangered Rothschild Giraffes at the Giraffe Centre. Finish with dinner at a local restaurant.

Nairobi to Samburu
Travel north to Samburu National Park, a 60-square-mile reserve where you'll find unique wildlife like multiple giraffe species, zebra, gerenuk, lion, cheetah, and leopard. Stop for lunch at the Trout Tree Restaurant, which sits inside a massive fig tree below Mount Kenya. Check into your camp and take your first game drive as the sun sets.

Samburu
Morning and afternoon game drives take you through Samburu's rugged semi-arid desert landscape to spot lion, ostrich, elephants, and other animals. You'll have lunch at the lodge, then head out on a different route for the afternoon drive. In the evening, a Samburu naturalist leads a lecture and discussion about local tribal traditions and principles.

Landmarks Samburu National Park - Day 5
Samburu to Aberdare
Travel southwest to Aberdare National Park and settle into The Ark, one of Kenya's famous tree lodges. The lodge has multiple decks and balconies overlooking a floodlit watering hole and salt lick where wildlife comes to drink day and night. Use the ground-level bunker for close-up game viewing and photography of elephant, buffalo, bushbuck, and occasionally rhino.

Landmarks Aberdare National Park - Day 6
Aberdare to Lake Nakuru
Explore Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its pink flamingos, white rhino, lion, and leopard. Over 450 bird species live here, with more than a million flamingos showing up at certain times of year. Drive to the lake edge, visit Baboon Rocks for wide views of the landscape, and search for warthogs and waterbucks. This park ranks among Kenya's best spots for seeing both black and white rhino and spotting leopards during daylight.

- Day 7
Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara
An early morning drive takes you to the Masai Mara National Reserve in southwest Kenya, known for its game viewing and vast savannahs. After lunch at camp, you'll head out on an afternoon game drive through this wildlife-rich area with diverse species.

- Days 8 - 9
Masai Mara
Watch the sunrise over the Masai Mara on game drives focused on the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino) plus antelopes, gazelles, hippos, and birds. An optional hot air balloon safari lifts you aloft before dawn to see the sunrise from above, followed by a champagne breakfast. Your final night features a celebratory dinner.
