Flight to Hanoi
Your Vietnam adventure kicks off with a flight to Hanoi. Once you arrive, you'll start getting ready to dive into Vietnam's fascinating culture and the diverse landscapes waiting for you.
- Day 2
Hanoi
Your driver and guide meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel in central Hanoi, about 35 km away (roughly 35 minutes). Along the way you'll see narrow houses, colonial architecture, and the busy streets that define the city. After you check in around 14:00, the rest of the day is yours. You could get a relaxing massage or wander through the old town's winding streets to get a feel for the place.

Hanoi City Tour
Today you'll spend the full day exploring Hanoi's vibrant culture from around 08:00 to 17:00. You'll visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex which includes his mausoleum, the Presidential Palace, the historic Stilt House, and the One Pillar Pagoda. After that you'll check out the Temple of Literature and walk around Hoan Kiem Lake, stopping at Ngoc Son Temple. A rickshaw ride through the Old Quarter comes next, and you'll finish the evening with a Water Puppet Theatre performance.

Halong Bay Cruise
You'll head out to Halong Bay with its nearly 2,000 islands and dramatic limestone cliffs. Boarding a traditional junk, you'll spend the night on the water. During the cruise you'll have time to take in the landscape, eat fresh seafood for dinner, and watch the sunset spread across the bay.

Halong Bay to Hue
This morning continues your cruise through Halong Bay as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You'll have breakfast on board and sail until midday. After lunch you'll disembark and drive to Hanoi airport for an afternoon flight to Hue. Your guide will meet you upon arrival and transfer you to your hotel for the night.

Hue Imperial City
Hue's rich heritage is on the agenda today from around 08:00 to 17:00. You'll take a boat trip on the Huong River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda, famous for its impressive Phuoc Duyen Tower, Vietnam's tallest pagoda. Then you'll tour the legendary Imperial Palace and the imperial city itself. Before heading to the royal tombs and garden houses in the afternoon, you'll visit Trang Tien Bridge and explore Dong Ba Market to see authentic Vietnamese culture and food.

Hue to Hoi An
The drive from Hue to Hoi An takes about 3.5 hours with stops along the way covering roughly 150 km. You'll pass through the Cloud Pass at 496 meters high, which marks the weather divide between Vietnam's subtropical north and tropical south. You'll see the beautiful Lang Co beach and get views of the Marble Mountains near Danang. After hiking to the summit of Marble Mountain, a collection of five limestone and marble hills with peaks, caves, and temples, you'll head to Hoi An. Once you check into your hotel, the rest of the day is free to settle in and explore at your own pace.

Hoi An Exploration and Tra Que Village
This morning you'll explore Hoi An on foot from around 08:30 to 15:00, walking through the winding narrow streets of the old quarter. You'll visit Chua Ong Pagoda, Phuc Kien Pagoda, the Assembly Hall, the 200-year-old Tam Ky House, and the covered Japanese Bridge. A cultural show with traditional music and dance comes next, followed by the Precious Heritage Museum with its photography collection. Then you'll take a bike tour to Tra Que village where you can watch farmers work in vegetable gardens, learn about cultivation practices, enjoy a foot bath and massage, and prepare your own lunch. A van is available if you can't bike. Back at your hotel, the afternoon is free for independent exploration.

Saigon City Tour
Discovering modern Saigon takes up your day from around 08:30 to 15:00. You'll visit the Romanesque Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral built between 1863 and 1880 by French colonists. Next comes the historic Saigon Post Office from 1886 to 1891, designed by Gustave Eiffel, which still functions as Vietnam's busiest post office. You'll tour the Reunification Palace, a historic building that survived wars against French and American forces, with basement displays of paintings, weapons, and artifacts. The atmospheric Ngoc Hoang Pagoda from 1909 comes next. Later you'll browse an authentic Vietnamese market where you can find seafood, vegetables, daily tools, and clothing at affordable prices. Back at your hotel in the afternoon, dinner is on your own.

Today you'll travel to the Mekong Delta, spending from around 08:00 to 16:30 exploring this region. The drive from Saigon to Ben Tre is about 2 hours covering roughly 90 km. Ben Tre is known for its fruit plantations and coconut groves, earning it the nickname 'coconut island'. You'll board a boat on the Mekong River and stop at a small farm to sample local fruit and tea. Continuing by small boat on narrow waterways, you'll take rickshaw rides and reach a local restaurant for lunch. You'll explore the rice paddies of Vietnam's 'breadbasket' region before returning by boat and transferring back to Saigon.
