Beijing
You'll arrive at Beijing Airport and get transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is open for you to settle in and start getting familiar with the city at your own pace.

Beijing
After breakfast, you'll spend the morning with a guide checking out Beijing's main sights. You'll walk through Tiananmen Square and see Mao's mausoleum, then move on to the Forbidden City where emperors lived and ruled for centuries. In the afternoon after lunch, you'll head to the old Beijing hutongs to get a feel for traditional neighborhoods, and stop by the Buddhist Miaoying Temple to see its distinctive White Stupa.

Beijing
Following breakfast at your hotel, you'll head to Huanghuacheng Great Wall for a moderate hike along a nice section of the wall with great views of two lakes from above. After lunch, you'll visit the 798 Art District, which occupies a converted industrial complex filled with galleries, design studios, and cafes showcasing contemporary art.

Beijing to Xi'an
You'll have breakfast before visiting the Temple of Heaven complex, where Ming and Qing emperors performed worship ceremonies. There you'll see the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests and watch locals doing tai chi and other traditional morning activities. Later in the day, you'll take a high-speed train to Xi'an. Once you arrive, you'll explore the Muslim Quarter, trying Halal food from various stalls before heading to a local restaurant for dinner.

- Day 5
Xi'an
After breakfast, you'll take a walk along the Ancient City Wall, the best preserved city wall that still exists in China. You have the option to rent a bike or electric bike to cover more ground if you want (at your own expense). Later, a guide will take you to see the Terracotta Warriors site, a UNESCO protected area with thousands of life-sized warrior and horse statues that were buried with Emperor Qin Shihuang. You'll grab lunch before finishing at the Xi'an Museum to learn about China's early history and civilizations.
