Visiting the temples of Angkor in one day is far too strenuous; spread over 2 days would have been much more enjoyable. We were lucky enough to have the guides in Phnom Pehn and Siem Reap just for us, as this tour is open to 2 people or more. There's very little personal free time for souvenir shopping, for example.Show more

We also enjoyed the fascinating markets, the delicious food, and the welcoming people. Our visit to Angkor Wat was particularly memorable: we couldn't believe the size and grandeur of the complex. From the impressive sandstone temples to the lush greenery, we felt like we had stepped back in time. The first afternoon we were at the hotel until dinner time, and the second afternoon again before having dinner at a restaurant nearby the hotel. We felt we didn't see much of Phnom Penh.
