Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Jackson Hole to Wind River Range

    Your guide picks you up at your Jackson Hole hotel and drives 2 hours to the Elkhart Park trailhead. The hike covers 8 miles with 1,100 feet of elevation gain as you walk along Faler Creek. You'll pass Photographers Point and catch views of the Continental Divide before setting up camp at Sapphire Lake, where dinner is included.

  2. Day 2

    Wind River Range Alpine Lakes

    After a leisurely breakfast, you break camp and start the day's 7-mile hike gaining 400 feet. The route stays above 10,000 feet the whole time, taking you past Seneca Lake, Little Seneca Lake, and Island Lake. By evening you reach a new alpine lake location with Continental Divide views and set up camp for the night.

  3. Day 3

    Indian Pass and Continental Divide

    Today you leave camp in place and hike with just a day pack. The 9-mile route gains 2,000 feet to Indian Pass at 12,120 feet on the Continental Divide. From there you can see Jackson Peak, Fremont Peak, and multiple glaciers. You'll grab lunch at the pass and then head back to camp.

    Return to Jackson Hole

    Your final day starts early with an 8-mile hike that loses 1,100 feet. The route takes a scenic detour through Sweeney Lakes to give you fresh perspectives on the landscape. After reaching the Elkhart Park trailhead, you'll shuttle back to your Jackson Hole hotel to finish up the trek.
