Itinerary
- Day 1
Estes Park
You'll take a 20-minute shuttle out to the trailhead to kick things off. Once there, head to McGraw Ranch Historical Site where you can learn what life was like for the early settlers in Estes Park Valley. From there, it's a 5-mile hike to get to your campsite. After you set up camp and grab lunch, you'll do a short day hike, just one mile, to see a Colorado waterfall before heading back to camp for the night.

- Day 2
Rocky Mountain National Park
After breakfast, you're heading west into a canyon where you'll hike through forests and meadows. As you climb higher, the day hikers thin out and you enter the Northern section of Rocky Mountain National Park. The elevation gain is gradual, which helps with acclimatization. By late afternoon, you'll reach your campsite next to a subalpine lake sitting at 11,000 feet. You'll stay at this location for the next two nights.

Rocky Mountain National Park
This is an alpine start day, so you're getting up early to summit a remote 13,425-foot peak that doesn't get much traffic because of where it sits in the park. You'll travel light with day packs and spend most of the day hiking off-trail above tree line. The Continental Divide spreads out before you, and on clear days you can see Longs Peak in the distance. Once you're back at camp, you'll rest up and then enjoy a special backcountry dinner to celebrate the summit.

Landmarks Rocky Mountain National Park Continental Divide Longs Peak - Day 4
Rocky Mountain National Park
Start with a morning day hike to a remote alpine lake that's ringed by cliffs and a tall peak nearby. Later, after lunch, you'll pack up camp and hike downhill to your next campsite, which sits along a mountain creek. This is your last night camping, so take time to soak it all in.

Landmarks Rocky Mountain National Park - Day 5
Estes Park
Sleep a bit longer this morning and enjoy a big breakfast before the final stretch. You'll hike 3 miles south along the creek with Longs Peak and Trail Ridge Road visible the whole way. At the trailhead, the group stops for one last lunch together at a meadow picnic area before heading back to Estes Park where your adventure ends.
