Itinerary
- Day 1
Keflavik to Reykjavik
You'll land at Keflavik airport and catch the Flybus shuttle into Reykjavik to reach your accommodation. After you've settled in, there's time to walk around the capital if you're not too tired from travel. The city center has plenty of cafes and shops if you want to get oriented before the main activities start.

- Keflavik International Airport / Keflavíkurflugvöllur (KEF), Keflavíkurflugvelli, Sandgerði, Southern Peninsula 235, Iceland (Flybus+ shuttle transfer from Keflavík International Airport to your accomodation in Reykjavík. The Flybus departs from Keflavík Airport 35-40 minutes after each flight arrival. )

- Day 2
Reykjavik
Meet your guide at 09:00 for a tour through Reykjavik's main spots including Hallgrimskirkja church, City Hall, the harbour area, and the Harpan concert hall. From there, you'll head out for a 3-hour whale watching cruise in Faxafloi Bay in the afternoon. After that, check out the Whales of Iceland exhibition to learn more about what you might have seen. There's also an optional chance to visit Sky Lagoon geothermal spa if you want to end the day relaxing in hot water.

Reykjavik to Westman Islands to South Iceland
Take a short ferry to the Westman Islands and spend time on Heimaey with a guided bus and walking tour. You'll see the bird cliffs, hike up the volcano crater, and visit Pompeii of the North, an excavation site that shows what happened after the 1973 eruption. Later in the afternoon, wander around Heimaey on your own before heading back to the mainland. You'll be staying in South Iceland for the next two nights.

- Day 4
South Iceland
Start the day at Seljalandsfoss waterfall where you can walk right behind the falls. Drive past Myrdalsj\u00f6kull and Eyjafjallaj\u00f6kull volcano on your way to V\u00edk village for the Iceland lava show, where you'll watch actual lava flow across ice. Next, walk along Reynisfjara's black lava beach and see the bird cliffs there. Stop at Skogur folk museum to check out the turf houses, then see Skogafoss waterfall. If you're interested, there's an optional glacier hike available at Solheimajokull.

- Day 5
Landmannalaugar Highlands
Drive into the highlands on a rough unpaved road to reach Landmannalaugar. Take a 90-minute round-trip hike up Brenninsteinsalda, the rainbow mountain, where you'll see sizzling sulfur springs and steam vents. You'll have a picnic lunch and time to relax in the natural geothermal stream. Before heading back to Reykjavik, visit Hjalparfoss waterfall with its unusual basalt rock formations around it.
