Itinerary
- Day 1
Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve
Your driver picks you up from your Nairobi hotel or airport at 7:30 am for the drive to Samburu National Reserve, which takes around 5 to 6 hours. After lunch and settling into your lodge, you'll head out that afternoon for a game drive. From the open rooftop of your vehicle, you can look for lions, leopards, cheetahs, and giraffes, plus over 400 bird species that call this reserve home.

Landmarks Samburu National Reserve - Day 2
Samburu National Reserve
You'll start early with breakfast at the lodge before spending the whole day on a game drive throughout Samburu National Reserve. The reserve gives you solid chances to see lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, buffalo, hyenas, and the region's diverse birdlife with over 400 species recorded here. Back at the lodge by evening, you'll have dinner and settle in for the night.

Landmarks Samburu National Reserve - Day 3
Samburu National Reserve to Lake Nakuru National Park
After an early breakfast at the lodge, you'll drive to Lake Nakuru National Park and arrive in time for lunch before checking in. The afternoon takes you on a game drive where you can spot endangered black rhinos, lions, leopards, giraffes, and various bird species. You'll return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Landmarks Lake Nakuru National Park - Day 4
Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara National Reserve
Breakfast comes early at the lodge before your 5 to 6 hour drive to Masai Mara National Reserve (timing depends on road conditions). You'll arrive in time for lunch and to check in at your lodge. Later in the day, you head out for a game drive where you can spot the Big Five and other wildlife including wildebeest, and learn how the famous migration shifts through from July to August.

- Day 5
Masai Mara National Reserve
Your day begins with early breakfast, then you're out for a full game drive in Masai Mara searching for the Big Five (African elephant, lion, rhino, buffalo, leopard) and spotting over 200 bird species along the way. A packed picnic lunch gets served during the drive. You'll head toward the Great Mara River and learn about the wildebeest migration that happens each July through August before returning to camp for dinner.

Landmarks Masai Mara National Reserve Great Mara River - Day 6
Masai Mara National Reserve to Nairobi
Start while it's still dark for an early sunrise game drive in Masai Mara, which offers excellent wildlife viewing and chances to spot predators while they hunt. Return to the lodge for breakfast afterward. If you're interested, there's an optional visit to a Masai cultural village where you can learn about Maasai lifestyles, education, and cultural dances (this costs extra). Then you drive back to Nairobi and get dropped at your original pick-up spot.
