Itinerary
- Day 1
Dijon
You'll start your trip arriving in Dijon, a city known for its food culture and position near Burgundy's wine region. Walk through the old town's narrow streets where you can pick up the scent of mustard and gingerbread, and try some local specialties. The architecture here dates back to medieval and Renaissance times, which earned Dijon the nickname 'The town of 100 bells' because of all the bell towers scattered throughout.

- Day 2
Fixey - Gevrey-Chambertin
After transferring to Marsannay, you'll explore vineyard landscapes filled with stone-enclosed plots and hilltop castles. The town is known for its rosé wines and sits at the start of the Route des Grands Crus de Bourgogne. You can visit the distinctive double-vaulted cellars here, then continue on to Gevrey-Chambertin and Fixey. If you're interested, there's a local raw milk cheese maker you can visit for Burgundian cheese tasting.

- Day 3
Chambolle Musigny - Clos Vougeot
You'll head through Grand Cru vineyards toward Morey Saint Denis, passing through Chambolle Musigny and by the Romanée Conti, one of the world's most expensive and sought-after wine estates at 1.8 hectares. The main stop is Château de Clos Vougeot, a striking castle with a glazed tile roof sitting in the middle of vineyards. Inside, you can see the 12th-century wine cellar and old grape presses, and learn about the Knights of Tastevin, a wine brotherhood with 12,000 members around the world.

Vosne Romanée
You'll visit a local farm producing red fruits and try blackcurrant liquor, part of Burgundy's blackcurrant tradition that goes back over 400 years in the Hautes Côtes region. The fruit harvest happens in July and fills the area with fragrance. Blackcurrant liquor mixed with aligotéwhite wine makes kir, a classic Burgundian aperitif. Optional activities include a winery visit in Vosne Romanée, truffle hunting with dogs, or a wine tasting that includes five wines like Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru.

After a transfer, you'll walk through the Hautes Côtes de Nuits enjoying the landscape and valley views. From there, you'll move through small villages and then descend into the Côtes de Beaune area. The route takes you through places like Aloxe-Corton, which produces notable white wines including Corton-Charlemagne, one of Burgundy's best.

Beaune
You'll see the Hotel Dieu, a 15th-century Gothic building with colorful slate roofs, originally a hospital and now famous for owning 60 hectares of vineyards where wines are sold at auction each year. Another option is to walk through the first Premier Crus vineyards toward la Montagne de Beaune and through the forest. Back in Beaune for the afternoon, you can visit an artisanal chocolate maker and then do a wine tasting at a local winery to develop your palate.
