- Day 1
Arrival in Vamos
You'll arrive at either Chania or Heraklion Airport and make your way to Vamos by taxi or public transport. Once you settle into your accommodation, take an evening stroll through the village to get your bearings and start feeling the rhythm of the place.

Landmarks Vamos - Day 2
Vamos to Georgioupolis
Head out for independent hiking through the Apokoronas countryside, walking through several villages on your way. You'll pass an old monastery and scattered churches as you make toward Georgioupolis on the coast. Along the route, you'll come across the oldest olive press of Western Crete, a nice piece of local history to see before reaching the seaside town.

Nippos to Askifou
Walk around Nippos on your own today, a village surrounded by cypresses and olive trees with views of the Lefka Ori mountains. The lush Apokoronas area gives you plenty to take in. In the afternoon, a taxi picks you up and takes you to the Askifou plain, where you'll spend the night.

Askifou Mountain Walk
This is a harder day of hiking from the Askifou plain. You'll climb upward with peaks surrounding you on all sides, then descend through dense forest using a beautiful old path. You might encounter shepherds with their flocks along the way, adding to the authentic mountain experience.

Landmarks Askifou Plain - Day 5
Askifou to Chora Sfakion via Imbros Gorge
After a short transfer to Imbros village, you'll hike through the famous Imbros Gorge, one of Crete's most striking. About 2 hours of walking takes you along a rocky riverbed where the gorge narrows to just 1.60m wide. After that, you'll continue through agricultural fields and Sfakiano Gorge to reach Chora Sfakion on the Libyan Sea. If you want, take a refreshing swim to end your day.

Chora Sfakion to Loutro via Ilinga Gorge and Anopolis
You'll climb to Anopolis, a traditional village reached via Ilinga Gorge. Try the local Sfakiana pitta pastry while you're there. From Anopolis, descend along a scenic route down to Loutro, a hidden miniature village that's only accessible by ferry. You'll settle in here for your last 2 nights.

Loutro to Aradhana and return
After breakfast, climb to the archaeological site of Ancient Aradhana at the Aradhana Gorge, then follow a scenic coastal path back to Loutro. If you prefer something shorter, there's a 4-hour alternative where you walk to Livaniana village and descend through Aradhana Gorge. Depending on your flight schedule tomorrow, you might catch an early ferry back to Chania or Heraklion.

Departure from Loutro
