  2. Day 2

    Vancouver

    Take a half-day sightseeing tour around Vancouver with a local guide. You'll see Stanley Park, head over to Granville Island to check out the shops and markets, and then walk through the historic streets of Gastown.

    Vancouver to Kamloops

    Board the Rocky Mountaineer train and settle into your bi-level glass-dome GoldLeaf Service carriage. Spend the day taking in the views of the Coast Mountains, watching for Hell's Gate, and following the Thompson River as the train makes its way to Kamloops.

    Start with a tour through Banff town, then drive along the Trans-Canada Highway through Banff National Park. You'll reach Lake Louise by afternoon, giving yourself time to see the glacial waters and settle in.

    Lake Louise

    Lake Louise to Jasper

    Travel the Icefields Parkway, one of the most scenic drives you'll do. Stop at Peyto Lake for photos, then visit Columbia Icefield and ride out onto Athabasca Glacier. Pass Athabasca Falls before rolling into Jasper for the night.

    Drive along the Yellowhead Highway toward Sun Peaks, taking in views of Mount Robson along the way. The landscape shifts as you move from the Rockies back toward the interior.

    Sun Peaks to Whistler

    Drive south on the Sea to Sky Highway, then board a BC Ferries vessel to Vancouver Island. Once you arrive, head to Chemainus to see the town's famous outdoor murals, and continue on to Victoria for the evening.

    Overall the tour was well.planned and places we visited were beautiful. The accommodation was first class but the quality of the food was poor given the reputation of Fairmont Hotels being exclusive. It was the only disappointing aspect.

    • For any tour departing before April 13th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after April 13th, 2026, a minimum payment of $1,100 is required to confirm your booking with APT. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 120 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
