- TLTheodore· September 6th, 2023The Helsinki city tour was disjointed in that we needed 3 languages (English, Italian & Spanish) to convey what we were seeing (also very fast). The directions were not clear at all during the entire trip. Fortunately, I arrived a day early and was able to see and experience Helsinki, otherwise, the abbreviated and disjointed city tour would have left me COLD as to what Helsinki has to offer. Ditto with the tour to the Suomenlinna Fortress -- definitely could have used "whisper" headsets. The trip to Lappeenranta was interesting; however, everything that needed to be seen was done on the afternoon walk-around and since the season ended the preceding week-end, many of the attractions were closed. This portion could have ended after lunch on day 2 giving a little more time in Helsinki. Also, the tour guide, Alexandrs could have been more helpful and clearer as to expectations, etc. On the plus side, the hotels were superb.
