Itinerary
- Day 1
Chisinau
You'll be picked up at Chisinau International Airport and taken to your hotel. The city itself has quite a story, with white limestone buildings that earned it the nickname 'White Stone Flower,' and you'll see a real mix of Soviet-era structures alongside Orthodox churches, museums, and parks. Your guide will walk you through the city's history and what makes it tick culturally.

- Day 2
Cricova - Orheiul Vechi
Start the day at Cricova Winery, where they're still making sparkling wine the traditional Champenoise way down in 70 km of underground cellars. The cellars hold about 1.2 million bottles, so it's quite an operation. After that, you'll head to Orheiul Vechi to see the Monastery carved right into the rock face, where Orthodox monks actually live and pray in cave cells.

Chisinau to Iasi
Following breakfast, you'll check out Capriana Monastery, one of Moldova's oldest religious sites. Later in the day you'll head across the border into Romania, ending up in Iasi, which is the country's second-largest city.

Iasi to Sighisoara
You'll visit Agapia, Romania's largest monastery with more than 500 nuns living there. The church inside has some unique paintings done by Nicolae Grigorescu that are really worth seeing. After that, the drive takes you through Transylvania and into the Bicaz Gorges, where limestone cliffs rise 300 meters above. You'll also pass by the Red Lake, Romania's largest natural mountain lake, before reaching Sighisoara for the night.

- Day 5
Sighisoara to Biertan to Sibiu
Sighisoara is one of Romania's best-preserved medieval cities and a UNESCO site, so you'll spend time walking through the 12th-century Citadel with its Clock Tower and the house where Dracula was born. The Covered Staircase leads up to the Church on the Hill, and it's a key part of the tour. Later you'll drive to Biertan to see its fortified church from the 15th century, which served as a Bishops' residence for over 300 years, then move on to Sibiu.

Sibiu to Bran to Brasov
Sibiu was European Cultural Capital in 2007 and European Region of Gastronomy in 2019, so there's a lot going on here. You'll walk through the medieval center checking out the Evangelical Church, the Liar's Bridge, and the Small Square with those distinctive 'eyes of the city' buildings. From there, you'll head to Bran village to explore the famous castle built in 1377. The day wraps up with a tour of Brasov's medieval areas, including the Council Hall, Black Church, and even the narrowest street in Romania.

Sinaia
You'll drive to Sinaia, called the Pearl of the Carpathians and a favorite mountain retreat for Romania's royal family. There you'll spend time at Peles Castle, the royal summer residence that shows real elegance and sits beautifully against the Carpathian landscape.

Bucharest
Depending on your flight time, you'll be transferred to Bucharest's Otopeni Airport to head home.
