Itinerary
- Day 1
Antananarivo to Andasibe
You'll meet your tour team at the hotel this morning to go over the program and sort out your travel documents. Then it's a 5-hour drive (145 km) to Andasibe, with a stop at Peyrieras reserve in Marozevo where you can see endemic chameleons in their natural habitat. After lunch, you'll continue on to Périnét and check into your hotel. Once you've settled in, join a nocturnal wildlife tour in the evening to search for microcebus lemurs, micro chameleons, frogs, and various birds active at night.

Andasibe
This entire day is spent bird watching in Mantadia primary forest. You'll be looking for Madagascar pond herons, Madagascar coucals, red fodies, Madagascar white eyes, and Madagascar hoopees among other species. The forest also has more than 11 lemur species hanging around, so you'll likely spot Indri indri (the largest lemur), Diademed Sifaka, and several others while you're exploring.

Andasibe to Antananarivo
Start your morning doing more bird watching at Analamazaotra reserve, a tropical rainforest home to Indri indri and excellent bird watching opportunities. You'll look for short-legged ground rollers, scaly ground rollers, crested ibis, Madagascar fluff tails, Madagascar pygmy kingfishers, and Madagascar sparrow hawks. After lunch, you'll drive back to Antananarivo (4 hours) and transfer to your hotel for the end of the tour.
