As the day winds down, you'll head out on a motorized canoe for a sunset ride, keeping an eye out for nocturnal animals that start moving as it gets darker, followed by some time to look up at the night sky.

This one starts early with breakfast before sunrise, then you're heading into Tambopata National Reserve and Lake Sandoval for a canoe tour where you'll see giant otters, macaws, howler monkeys, and whatever else crosses your path. After lunch back at the lodge, you'll experience the Inkaterra Canopy Walkway suspended 28 meters up in the trees, which gives you a different perspective on the canopy animals and birds living up there. Later that evening, you'll do a nocturnal jungle walk or canoe to listen to all the sounds that come alive after dark.

During the afternoon, you'll come across the historic remains of the Fitzcarrald steamboat, which is a neat bit of history in the middle of the jungle. • Hacienda Concepcion 4 Days, Short Break (On Request) reviewer 1
    · November 23rd, 2021
First of all - the Inkaterra residence is worth a 5* rating ! However, the overall management by Limatours is below expectations. The Hacienda Concepcion lodge is actually shut down since the start of the pandemic and will remain closed until at least next peak season. Two days before arrival, we received a message that we would be relocated to another lodge (Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica), which would count as an upgrade - this is the more fancy lodge indeed, so also beware of additional costs for your daily pisco sour ;-). We got an updated itinerary and all seemed to be managed well. However, the offering of Reserva Amazonica and Hacienda Concepcion is different, because well, different lodge ... So if you would want to book this tour because of the mentioned activities, don't. Limatours still claims the H.C. lodge is open, even though we physically went over there and everything is completely empty. As you have no internet in the lodge, it is also very difficult to have those last-minute discussions. The Reserva Amazonica lodge is very luxurious though, with nice food and a really nice setting (expensive though). I wouldn't recommend it for adventurous travelers; most of the activities are quite close to the lodge itself, so no real wildlife will be found - it has a very touristy and pre-set vibe to it. The original Hacienda Concepcion is really in the jungle and has a bit more "into the wild" feeling to it. If you'd still want to go to any of the Inkaterra lodges, make a booking directly on their website so you know what to expect and avoid the ping-pong with Limatours.
