Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Colombo
Your overnight flight gets you to Bandaranayake International Airport in Colombo by morning. After clearing customs and collecting your luggage, you'll meet your tour guide and head to your hotel to freshen up and settle in.



- Day 2
Galle
Start the day with a city tour through Colombo, walking through modern shopping centers alongside colonial buildings that show the city's mixed history. You'll stroll along Galle Face Green with its ocean views, then drive south to the coastal town of Galle in the afternoon. There you'll see the Dutch Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with its fortress walls and lighthouse that's been well preserved for centuries.

Kataragama
Head to Mulkirigala Raja Maha Viharaya, a rock monastery carved into the hillside with cave temples going back to the 3rd century BC. You'll walk through the painted caves and climb to viewing terraces for the surrounding views. Later, travel to Kataragama for evening prayers at the temple where Buddhist, Hindu, and Islamic traditions all happen together, including the practice of smashing coconuts as offerings.

Bandarawela
Early in the morning, set out on a jeep safari through Yala National Park to search for elephants, monkeys, water buffalo, crocodiles, and if luck's on your side, the rare leopards. After the safari finishes, hike up to Little Adams Peak where panoramic views stretch across endless tea plantations, perfect for photos and taking in the scenery.

- Day 5
Kandy
The train ride from Ella to Nanu Oya takes you through tea plantations, steep mountain slopes, and streams with some great views along the way. Upon arriving in Nuwara Eliya, you'll get a short tour of this colonial town with its gardens, old manor houses, and churches. Stop at a tea factory to learn how Ceylon tea gets produced, then later settle in for a cosy dinner with other travelers.

- Day 6
Kandy
Visit the Temple of the Tooth in Kandy, one of Sri Lanka's most important pilgrimage sites where Buddha's left canine tooth is kept as a sacred relic. You'll see pilgrims making offerings at the shrine and catch sight of the tooth displayed in its ivory case. Walk through Kandy's streets along Lake Kandy with your guide, seeing where colonial architecture blends with modern city life. Later, watch a traditional dance performance with Kandy dancers in their bright costumes showing expressive movements and music.

Dambulla
Explore the Dambulla Cave Temples, which started as a refuge for King Vattagamini Abhaya and later became sacred temples. Inside you'll find countless Buddha statues carved into the stone grottoes in different poses, standing, reclining, and seated. In the afternoon, climb Sigiriya rock to see the frescoes of the Cloud Maidens near the top and catch panoramic views as the sky changes color at dusk.

- Day 8
Anuradhapura - Dambulla
Drive to Anuradhapura, an ancient royal city that served as the center of Sinhalese dynasties for a thousand years. Visit Sri Mahabodhi, the most important pilgrimage site, where the sacred Bodhi tree draws visitors from across the country, believed to be an offshoot of the tree where Buddha reached enlightenment. Return to Dambulla by evening.

Passikudah
Travel east toward the coast, stopping at Polonnaruwa to walk through the archaeological park with its ruined royal palace and Buddha statues, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Sri Lanka's important cultural sites. Continue driving to Passikudah on the coast, then relax at your beach hotel as the day winds down.

Passikudah
Spend the day at Passikudah Beach however you like. Take a long walk along the sand, cool off with a swim in the Indian Ocean, or simply relax and enjoy the beach setting at your own pace.

Passikudah

Negombo
After breakfast, head back to the west coast and check into your hotel in Negombo for your final night. Spend the day using the hotel's facilities and facilities, then gather with other travelers for a farewell dinner where you'll reflect on everything you've experienced during the tour.

Departure
Check out of your hotel and get transferred to Bandaranayake International Airport for your return flight to Europe. Your tour guide helps with luggage at check-in and says goodbye as you head to the departure area.
