- Day 1
Arrival in Dubai
You'll arrive in Dubai and get picked up at the airport for the drive to your hotel. You're settling in for a 3-night stay, so take time to get oriented and rest up after your flight.
- Day 2
Dubai City Tour
This morning starts with a half-day city tour covering Dubai's major sights like the Burj Al Arab, Jumeirah Mosque, and the old Bastakiya district with its traditional Arabic buildings. After crossing the creek by abra water taxi, you'll reach the world's largest gold market to browse around. The afternoon is open for whatever you want to do on your own.

Dubai Free Day
The whole day is yours to do as you please. Dubai's famous for shopping if that interests you, with plenty of large malls to check out. Or if you prefer, there's an optional half-day tour available to see Dubai's newer attractions and modern side.

Abu Dhabi to Al Ain
Today you're heading to Abu Dhabi first to visit the Sheikh Zayed Mosque, which has intricate columns and gold chandeliers worth seeing. From there you'll see the Emirates Palace hotel, then continue on to Al Ain, the Garden City with UNESCO heritage status. By evening you're checking into your mountain hotel with views across the landscape.

Al Ain to Nizwa via Oman
After an orientation tour and museum visit in Al Ain this morning, you'll cross the border into Oman where a local guide will be waiting. The first stop is Bahla Fort, a large mud fortress that's a UNESCO site. Then you'll reach Nizwa, an oasis town sitting at the base of the Akhdar Mountains, and settle in for the night.

Oman Mountains and Heritage Sites
You'll start by walking through Jabrin Palace, then head to the ancient city of Al Hamra and the mountain village of Misfah with its terraced fields and traditional Falaj irrigation system. From there, an off-road vehicle takes you up to Jebel Shams mountain for incredible views of the Grand Canyon of Oman before heading back to Nizwa.

Nizwa to Wahiba Desert
Get up early to catch the Nizwa cattle market where traders haggle in old-fashioned style, then walk through the fortress tower and historic souk known for silverwork and scimitars. Later you're heading into the Wahiba Desert, riding in a four-wheel drive across the golden dunes to reach your desert camp where you'll sleep under the stars tonight.

Wahiba Desert to Sur
After leaving the desert this morning, you'll drive to Wadi Bani Khalid and its striking turquoise-blue natural pools, which are quite different from what you saw yesterday. There's time for a swim in the cool water before continuing on to Sur, the historic seafaring town where traditional dhows are still built.

- Day 9
Sur to Muscat
You'll tour a traditional dhow shipyard in Sur to learn how these historic boats were built and used for Indian Ocean trade, then travel toward Muscat. Along the way you'll pass through fishing villages, drive through wadis including Wadi Tiwi, and stop at the Bimah Sinkhole with its 60-meter-deep turquoise-green water.

Muscat City Tour and Farewell Dinner
Spend a half-day exploring Muscat starting with the Sultan Qaboos Mosque, which has a massive hand-knotted carpet and crystal chandelier inside. You'll see the exterior of the Sultan's Palace, then check out the Bait Al Zubair Museum to understand Omani culture better. Wander through the Mutrah Souk with its spice-filled narrow passages before your farewell dinner tonight.
