Visiting the sites takes me back to ancient Egypt. This is a 7 day tour, which included a stay in Luxor, Visiting the marvellous temples. Our guides were knowledgeable, especially our guide in Luxor with the monumental history he took his time to explain everything, and I felt as if I was back in ancient time. Everything was organised by the tour.Show more

Trip date: April 2025 - HAholly· November 18th, 2023tour guides Sara and driver Islam who took us around Giza were fantastic, they were warm friendly and knowledgeable, a highlight of the trip. We loved our time with both of them and they gave us a memorable day in Giza. Khaled our tour guide on our last 2 days was also excellent too, along with driver foxy, Khaleed sorted all tickets out prior which meant we skipped queues and he was very knowledgeable and answered all questions and gave lots of onsite knowledge around luxor, he managed to miss a lot of the queues due to his knowledge which we really grateful of ad it meant we could have better photos and a better experience The boat staff were all fantastic on the cruise especially the receptionist whose name I didn't catch he was very helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed the food on the crises ship, the multiple salad options being the star of the show. A few bad points , communication on us arriving at the airport was really bad , we didn't know what our hotel was called and our driver didn't hold up a sign as advised , which was really stressful for us as we had no internet and couldn't find him.and were being constantly hassled , he finally found us but this was very stressful. We booked an additional tour to Abu simbel and paid our tour guide for the travel the day before this included entry fee and travel, on arrival at Abu simbel the chap that transferred us to our tour guide tried to force us to pay for entry again, we ended up having to have a heated argument with him about this, to which he then finally gave us tickets , he was definitely try to scam us to pay twice. Tour lovely, plenty to see, favourite highlight Pyramids, be prepared to pay 300 Egyptian pounds for entry fee into most sites and 1 pound to use the toilet anywhere you go. Tour Guide lovely and knowledgeable but sometimes hard to understand her English probably just me though. Sleeper train - long journey, cabin not in the best condition nor clean with shared toilets. Pyramid hotel in Giza, clean rooms , lovely lovely people always happy to help shout out to Meg, Mohamed and the lady that made breakfast and the best coffee thank you. Drivers for this tour were always on time and also happy to help and knew there way around, shout out to them Ahmed, Bruhim and the others thank you. - MMMinoo· February 19th, 2023The first three days in Cairo and Giza was great. peter is a great host and he make sure you are very well being looked after. Our tour guide in Cairo, Giza and Alexandria was Ashraf and I can say hands down he was the best person I have ever met very patient, very knowledgeable and most importantly he was passionate about his job. He gave us great information about the ancient Egyptian history and he was very organised. However it wasn’t so great in Luxor and I felt so disappointed with my tour guide Khalid. Khalid organised a sailboat on Nile river for me and when asked he told me it was 1000 Egyptian pounds which was still alot but i agreed. The Nile river sailboat was rushed and it lasted for less than an hour as I had to go to the temple before it closes. The next day Khalid told me he made a mistake and i have to give him an extra 600 Egyptian pounds because he felt like charging me extra! I refused to give hime the money and he started arguing with me. Even in the temples and landmarks Khalid was always seated near the entrance and I had to explore the landmarks all alone by myself and pay the security guard 20 pounds to take my photos!!! Because of the heat it was low season and we had some benefits. Sometimes half prices entrance and privat guide and chauffeur. In Giza and Cairo we toured with guide Azraf and we had a nice time, he showed us the nice places like the pyramids and old-Cairo where the holy family stayed and chauffeur Ahmed Mamdouh led us safe through the crazy traffic. In Luxor we also had a great time with guide Talaat Abdo, he knew so much details of the temples and tombes. After we visited 4 tombes in the Valley of the Kings in the desert heat he arranged a very nice and unexpected boattrip with food. We really enjoyed this. We have optional day tour to Alexandria including private transfer and private tour with private tour guide with service and taxes excluding the entrance fees to the Sightseeing. Tour starts at 7:30 am till 5 pm more or less. Visiting on this day catacombs, pumpi Pilar, citadel of quibay in the Mediterranean sea and the library of Alexandria. Library of Alexandria is closed in Friday and Saturday. It costs 125 USD per person.

For Giza Pyramids, it is budget hotels with breakfast, for Luxor it is 4 star hotel. The train is overnight sitting train, and can be upgraded to sleeper train via addon if you want.
