Taiyuan
Your representative meets you at Taiyuan Airport or Railway Station and takes you on a 30-minute private transfer to your hotel. From there, the rest of the day is yours to do as you like, whether that's resting up after travel, grabbing a meal, or wandering around the city to get your bearings.

- Day 2
Taiyuan to Pingyao
After breakfast, you'll head out at 8:30 toward Pingyao. First stop is Jinci Temple, a significant temple complex with nice gardens to walk through. Then it's on to Qiao's Family Compound, a traditional merchant house that gives you a real sense of how wealthy families lived back then. You'll grab lunch somewhere, and then continue driving to Pingyao Ancient City, which is on UNESCO's heritage list. Once you check into your hotel there, the evening is free to explore on your own.

- Day 3
Pingyao to Taiyuan
You'll have breakfast and then spend the morning on a walking tour around Pingyao's old city walls, seeing what makes this place historically significant. Lunch at a local restaurant breaks up the day, and then you'll drive about 30 minutes to Shuanglin Temple. This place is home to over 2,000 clay statues that have been decorated and preserved from the 12th through 19th centuries, so it's really something to see. After that, you head back to Taiyuan, arriving around 18:00.
