- Anna· September 21st, 2025South Africa with Liezl was INCREDIBLE! I had an AMAZING experience on INTRO's 12-day South Africa Adventure trip, it honestly was the trip of a lifetime! We saw loads of animals during our game drives, including the Big Five within the first few hours in Kruger National Park. Our group leader, Leizl, was absolutely fantastic—knowledgeable, funny, approachable, and attentive to everyone's needs, making the tour even more special. Whether you were gluten-free or vegetarian, she was always looking out for you; she had plenty of games up her sleeve, and so much expertise about her home country. The group was lovely, and every activity was fun and well-organised. We also had great local guides for certain activities (Mama Queen in Soweto was brilliant, as were our safari guides), opportunities for authentic cultural exchange at the creches, and the food was delicious everywhere we went. When we were tired from the action-packed days, we always had very comfortable accommodations to return to. Expect a lot of every mornings and chill evenings, but it means you make the most of everything there is to do each day! Overall, the trip was very well planned, and it has left me eager to return to Africa as soon as possible. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an 'intro' to travel in Africa.Show moreTrip date: September 2025
- AAshleaBucke· September 19th, 2025Not over this trip! Had the best experience and made even better by our excellent tour guide Prev. What stood out most was his patience and enthusiasm. He went above and beyond to make sure everyone was ok and always answered questions with a smile. There’s a great variety of activities included, the safaris being everything I hoped for and more! I’m new to intro and will definitely be booking through them again.Show moreTrip date: September 2025
- MCMike· September 19th, 2025⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We decided to do something different for our honeymoon and joined a backpacking trip through South Africa – best decision ever! The trip had such a great mix of experiences: amazing safaris where we saw elephants, lions and giraffes up close, exploring lively towns, and chilling in some incredible spots. A big shoutout to our group leader, Prev, who honestly made the trip what it was. He’s based in South Africa and knows the country inside out, so we got to see way more than we ever would on our own. He kept the vibe really fun and relaxed, and it never felt like a “tour” – more like travelling with a bunch of mates. Even though we went as a honeymoon couple, this trip is just as perfect for solo travellers – it’s super social and you get to meet some great people along the way. One of the unexpected highlights was crossing into Eswatini. Such a cool country to experience, plus it gave us that all-important bonus passport stamp! Honestly, it was the adventure of a lifetime and such a unique way to start married life. If you’re looking for a trip that mixes safaris, culture, adventure and good company, we’d 100% recommend this one.Show moreTrip date: September 2025
- Jean-Luc· September 19th, 2025Just finished the intro South Africa tour. This has been such a blast from the moment it started till the end. By far the best part was our group leader Previledge! He gave us so much information on the culture and history of South Africa, it really made it feel like an authentic trip. If you want to see some wild African animals, this tour is for you!Show moreTrip date: September 2025

- Amy· December 19th, 2024This December I did my 4th tour with Introtravel. South Africa exceeded my expectations and soon became my favourite tour. Liezl was an excellent leader that went above and beyond for everyone’s needs. She also has great knowledge of each destination and made things informative and fun. Liezl gave recommendations for things to do in our free time. Overall, the South Africa was a trip of a lifetime made better by seeing the big five, doing things I would never usually do and sharing the experience with a great bunch of people.Show moreTrip date: December 2024

- Ka· December 4th, 2024Had a fantastic time in South Africa with Intro. This would be my 4th Intro tour (Vietnam, Cambodia and Mexico), and it did not disappoint. Me and my partner were saying this was one of the top holidays we've been on. South Africa offers so much variety and that's what we did on the trip. The safaris we went on saw all sorts of wildlife in their natural habitats. To see the giraffes, rhinos and hippos so close was mind blowing. The food and wine was always fantastic. We had half a day at a local adventure park for some high adrenaline activities. We learnt so much of SA's sad history of apartheid and the aftermath to the country. We visited some very poverty stricken communities where we bought food and learning supplies and spent some time with them. Always felt safe with the tour and our Tour Guide Liezl was fantastic. So many great advice and knowledge. Highly recommend this tour, jam packed full of activities.Show moreTrip date: November 2024

Asked on June 2nd, 2025I'm traveling solo and this would be a perfect tour for me. The only issue is I would have to leave Cape Town early. Is there a way to customize this?
- INTRO TravelOperator•Written June 2025
It's no problem if you need to leave the tour early, just bear in mind you could miss out on some cool experiences in Cape Town. Which start date are you looking at joining? And when would you need to leave?

Asked on January 18th, 2025Will the game drives be on road or off road or mixture of both? What kind of vehicles? Do we get to see animals up close? How are the road conditions? Would it be an issue for someone with some motion sickness? For accommodations that are camping, can you describe what it is? Is it sleeping bags and tents or have some type of beds?
- INTRO TravelOperator•Written January 2025
Kruger is mostly on paved roads through the park. However, there are some areas where you go off-road. The off-road bits aren't very bumpy, but they ARE off-road. Eswatini is all off-road but, again, not super bumpy. The vehicles are covered, open-back trucks with 3 rows of 3 seats each. Depending on the animal, some do get quite close (within a meter or two). However, more dangerous animals, the drivers keep their distance and don't typically get any closer than 5-10 meters. For the accommodation, tenting is in large tents with proper beds inside with shared toilets.

Traveler•Written January 2025What months would you recommend are best times for south africa safari and victoria falls together?
- INTRO TravelOperator•Written January 2025
The great thing about South Africa is it's a predominantly sunny country, and travel is possible year round to do its size, diverse landscapes and attractions. Summer weather lasts from October to April, and winter brings cooler temperatures but fewer crowds and perfect safari conditions from May to September.
