- Amy· December 19th, 2024This December I did my 4th tour with Introtravel. South Africa exceeded my expectations and soon became my favourite tour. Liezl was an excellent leader that went above and beyond for everyone’s needs. She also has great knowledge of each destination and made things informative and fun. Liezl gave recommendations for things to do in our free time. Overall, the South Africa was a trip of a lifetime made better by seeing the big five, doing things I would never usually do and sharing the experience with a great bunch of people.Show moreTrip date: December 2024

- Ka· December 4th, 2024Had a fantastic time in South Africa with Intro. This would be my 4th Intro tour (Vietnam, Cambodia and Mexico), and it did not disappoint. Me and my partner were saying this was one of the top holidays we've been on. South Africa offers so much variety and that's what we did on the trip. The safaris we went on saw all sorts of wildlife in their natural habitats. To see the giraffes, rhinos and hippos so close was mind blowing. The food and wine was always fantastic. We had half a day at a local adventure park for some high adrenaline activities. We learnt so much of SA's sad history of apartheid and the aftermath to the country. We visited some very poverty stricken communities where we bought food and learning supplies and spent some time with them. Always felt safe with the tour and our Tour Guide Liezl was fantastic. So many great advice and knowledge. Highly recommend this tour, jam packed full of activities.Show moreTrip date: November 2024
- Jesper· October 30th, 2024Nice place, had stuff to do every day. Tour guide/group leder was always the last one to bed, helping me keep the party going as long as possible. Got taken to nice restaurants and to beatiful viewpoints every day.Show moreTrip date: October 2024
- NDNaomi· October 28th, 2024Just returned home from the 12 day Intro Tour in South Africa and wow what an amazing experience it was! From start to finish the tour was so efficiently planned out. Our group leader was Dan and his proactiveness and willingness to go above and beyond really eased the whole process for a first time solo traveller; messaging about transport options from the airport, daily packing lists and itinerary reminders, as well as being a really enthusiastic and fun guy. His love for South Africa shone through and made our experience incredible. As well as that we had a local guide called Liezl who’s knowledge on her country was next to none, regularly providing story times on the bus and cultural facts as well as her love for birds on the game drives haha! She also went above and beyond in making the trip both memorable and informative. The overall trip itinerary was perfect! Starting off with the important history of South Africa in Johannesburg which set the scene for the trip before travelling round on game drives and seeing all the amazing wildlife South Africa has, truly a once in a lifetime experience. The culture in South Africa is really incredible and the locals loved putting on performances for us and getting us involved. And finally we arrived in Cape Town, which stole my heart. The most beautiful city on earth! South Africa I will be back and Intro Travel, thank you for making this trip all that it is!Show moreTrip date: October 2024

Asked on January 18th, 2025Will the game drives be on road or off road or mixture of both? What kind of vehicles? Do we get to see animals up close? How are the road conditions? Would it be an issue for someone with some motion sickness? For accommodations that are camping, can you describe what it is? Is it sleeping bags and tents or have some type of beds?
- INTRO TravelOperator•Written January 2025
Kruger is mostly on paved roads through the park. However, there are some areas where you go off-road. The off-road bits aren't very bumpy, but they ARE off-road. Eswatini is all off-road but, again, not super bumpy. The vehicles are covered, open-back trucks with 3 rows of 3 seats each. Depending on the animal, some do get quite close (within a meter or two). However, more dangerous animals, the drivers keep their distance and don't typically get any closer than 5-10 meters. For the accommodation, tenting is in large tents with proper beds inside with shared toilets.

Traveler•Written January 2025What months would you recommend are best times for south africa safari and victoria falls together?
- INTRO TravelOperator•Written January 2025
The great thing about South Africa is it's a predominantly sunny country, and travel is possible year round to do its size, diverse landscapes and attractions. Summer weather lasts from October to April, and winter brings cooler temperatures but fewer crowds and perfect safari conditions from May to September.
