Dublin
Pick up your rental car at the airport and drive into Dublin city center. You'll hop on a hop-on, hop-off bus tour that lets you see the main sights at your own pace. Drive southwest through the agricultural midlands toward County Kerry. Stop to see Blarney Castle and climb up to kiss the Stone of Eloquence, then walk through its quiet gardens. From there, head through Macroom and into County Kerry where the landscape opens up with mountain scenery. Arrive in Killarney by evening and have dinner at your hotel.

The other option is the Ring of Kerry, one of Ireland's well-known scenic drives with plenty of stops for photos and village exploration. Later, head to Muckross Schoolhouse for traditional entertainment and a private dinner with performance included.

Drive north to Galway and spend time in this lively, artistic city with its medieval streets, street performers, shops, and cafes to explore. Head back to Clare for dinner at your hotel.
