- Day 1
Arrival in Tokyo
Your English-speaking assistant will meet you at Narita or Haneda airport and take you to your hotel by shared car. Once you arrive, check in and take the rest of the day to settle in at your own pace.

- Day 2
Tokyo to Kawaguchiko
Meet your guide at 08:00 for a 2-hour express bus ride to Kawaguchiko. You'll take a sightseeing boat on Lake Kawaguchi and ride the Fuji Panorama Ropeway to see Mt. Fuji from different angles. If there's time, stop at the iconic Chureito Pagoda at Arakurayama Sengen Park. The express bus returns you to your hotel around 20:00.

- Day 3
Tokyo
Your guide meets you at 9:00 and heads to Meiji Jingu Shrine, where you'll learn the proper hand-washing and mouth-rinsing rituals before going into the main hall. After that, you'll spend the afternoon exploring Asakusa, walking through Nakamise-dori Street and visiting the famous Senso-ji Temple. From there, you'll head to Odaiba for entertainment. Your guide departs around 16:00, so you'll have free time to explore before heading back to your hotel on your own.

- Day 4
Tokyo to Nagano
Take a bullet train from Tokyo to Nagano on your own. Your local guide meets you at Nagano Station and takes you to the hotel. After you drop off your luggage, you'll take a 1-hour bus to Snow Monkey Park to see monkeys in their natural habitat (no feeding or touching allowed). From there, return to downtown Nagano with your guide and visit Zenko-ji Temple if time allows, then rest at your hotel.

Nagano to Matsumoto
Take a bullet train for about 1.5 hours to Matsumoto on your own. Your guide meets you at the train station and takes you to the hotel to drop off your luggage. You'll visit Matsumoto Castle, the small Yohashira Shrine nearby, and Nawate Street. If time permits, you can check out Nakamachi Street across the Metoba River. In the afternoon, visit Matsumoto City Museum of Art before heading back to the hotel.

Matsumoto
Grab your hiking bag and head to Matsumoto Station early. Take your pre-booked train for 1 hour 12 minutes to Nojiri to start your self-guided walk to Tsumago. This 18 km hike includes 614m of ascent and 723m of descent, taking about 5 to 6 hours to complete.

Tsumago to Kyoto
Continue hiking from Tsumago to Magome along the best-preserved section of the Nakasendo Way, featuring stone-paved paths and views of streams, waterfalls, and historic sites in the Kiso Valley. This 8 km walk takes about 3 hours. After, take a local bus from Magome to Nakatsugawa Station, then a JR train to Nagoya, and transfer to a bullet train to Kyoto (about 3 hours total travel). Walk 8 minutes west from Kyoto Station to your hotel where your luggage is waiting. Rest and recover from the day's hiking.

- Day 8
Kyoto
Meet your guide at 9:00 in the hotel lobby to start touring Fushimi Inari Taisha and its impressive Senbon Torii stretching kilometers up the mountain. You'll visit the Temple of the Golden Pavilion (Kinkaku-ji Temple) with its gold-leaf-covered upper layers. In the afternoon, explore the Pure Water Temple (Kiyomizu-dera Temple) and walk through traditional Japanese streets like Matsubara-dori, Sannenzaka, and Ninenzaka. Visit Yasaka Shrine and arrive at the Gion area around 17:00 where your guide leaves. Spend free time in the famous geisha district before dinner and head back to the hotel by taxi at your own expense.

- Day 9
Kyoto to Osaka
Take a train from Kyoto Station to Osaka Station for a 30-minute journey (tickets not included, purchase on-site). Walk 3 minutes east to Umeda Station to transfer to the Midosuji Line, ride for 8 minutes to Namba Station, and walk 5 minutes east to your hotel to drop off luggage. The rest of the day is free for exploring Osaka.

Departure from Osaka
Check out from your hotel on your own. Travel time from downtown Osaka to Kansai International Airport takes 50 to 60 minutes, so plan your transportation based on your departure flight time.
