Itinerary
- Day 1
Paro
You'll land at Paro airport and transfer to your hotel in the valley. After settling in and adjusting to the 2,300m altitude, you have the option to walk around Paro's streets about 2km away or take it easy. Dinner is at a traditional farmhouse near Paro's oldest temple, so you can relax and get your bearings before heading to bed.

- Day 2
Paro to Haa
Today's a big cycling day with 86km and 1,823m of climbing ahead. You'll start from Paro and ride through farmlands and small hamlets toward Chelela Pass, which sits at 3,989m and is decorated with prayer flags. After grabbing snacks at the summit, you descend 20km to Haa township to see the local buildings and learn about the area's history. Then another 14km of easy climbing on quiet roads gets you to your countryside hotel.

Landmarks/POIs Chelela Pass - Day 3
Haa to Thimphu
This is a longer ride with 125km total and 1,157m of elevation gain heading toward Thimphu. The first 65km is mostly downhill beside the Haa Chu river, and you might see wild monkeys and yaks along the way. Around the 95km mark, you'll stop for a picnic lunch. After that, the final 35km follows higher roads past the Wang Chhu River through rice fields and forests. You'll roll into Thimphu's busy center and check into your hotel in the middle of town.

Thimphu to Paro via Dochula Pass
You're cycling 115km with 1,541m of climbing today. After a 5km warm-up, the 22km climb up Dochula starts through temperate forest where orange trees, banana plants, and bamboo grow thick. Watch for deer and monkeys on the quieter roads. Reaching Dochula Pass at 3,050m, you'll see 108 Buddhist stupas and have snacks at the top. Then it's back down to Thimphu before heading to Paro for the night.

Landmarks/POIs Dochula Pass - Day 5
Tiger's Nest Monastery Trek
Time to leave the bikes and trek instead. You're heading to Tiger's Nest (Taktsang), one of the holiest Buddhist sites sitting at 2,800m on a cliff above the Paro valley. The two hour hike up goes through a pine forest with Spanish moss and prayer flags hanging everywhere. You'll explore the temples there, then hike back down for lunch at Bhutan's oldest cafe where you can still see the monastery. Dinner wraps up the day at your hotel.
