Tour Director & Driver were fantastic! They were very aware of the needs and expectations of their tour group and did their best to meet our needs. There was a bit too much pressure to book optional experiences, but it seems that is a requirement of her position and not her choice. Michelle was so well organized, we were well aware of every next step, every bathroom, and expectation. The trip was exceptionally smooth and efficient, all due to her! Ultimately, I couldn't have asked for better a on-road team! I felt safe and knew I was getting the most out of my insight itinerary! The local guides were hit or miss. Ronan in Derry/Londonderry was fantastic and most certainly the best guide! I wish the other guides had his personality and natural public speaking skills. I enjoyed all the hotels and found them to be 4 stars or better. I was disappointed that vegetarian options weren't on the menu for most of the included and optional meals. The included meals were very repetitive (to the point where desserts at 2 different hotels were identical) and lackluster. I would have preferred to spend that money on my own dinner elsewhere. The walking tours could have been fantastic, but they were abbreviated due to the physical limitations/age of our group. I was really disappointed in this, I wish an extended tour option would have been available as it was clear things were missed by not getting a full walking tour. The optional Castle Tour “When your home is a Castle” was really disappointing. It was sold to us as if we'd learn behind the scenes information, gossip from those that have visited the home, etc. But that never happened. We just got a boring history of the family that owned the castle and described the 3 rooms we were permitted to view. The Falconry optional was amazing and the included Jaunting Car Ride was fantastic - those in our group that went on the "hike" were disappointed because it was just a light walk. The optional art tour in Belfast was good, but I think a black cab art tour would have been better - if I were to repeat this tour, I'd skip the optional, and do the black cab and titanic museum on my own.

Great trip and Greg was an excellent guide. He gave us enough information without overdoing it. He introduced us to music of the area which made the bus rides more interesting. He always had advice when needed and was responsive to requests.

I’m writing this review to let other potential guests know of the lack of regard for covid by Insight. I see from a previous company response to someone with the same concern that they feel we should have been aware no precautions were being taken at group dining events. So in case anyone else neglected to read that part - at any included meal, optional or not, you will be seated at shared tables with no physical distancing. The first guest tested positive on about day 3. After that, despite much coughing, guests were not testing in order to not have to leave the tour. This was endorsed by tour director on the first night who made a spiel about allergies, and that we wouldn’t be treating anyone as Typhoid Mary. Most guests wore their masks on the bus and indoors while not eating. I feel there would have been less spread if we didn’t have to share tables for every breakfast and several dinners. Our symptoms started on the day we came home and I’m quite unwell. There were positives on this trip for sure, but there were other problems as well. Managing meals with more regard for safety needs to be considered by tour operators.

Loved Ireland & it’s beautiful sights. Wish we had more time at some of the sights like The Blarney Castle & Giants’ Causeway! Two hours at the sights sounds like a lot of time but not when it includes getting lunch and long lines to use the toilet! The hotels in city center were lovely, allowing opportunity to explore more during free time; however the ones outside the cities were very inconvenient!

I was recently on a tour with Insight . The Country roads of Ireland . Tour date of August 2017 . The tour director was a women of low class . She spoke more of her sex life and how she bagged guys . Then Ireland itself . I am so disappointed with Insight I will make it my goal to inform the public . Tim
