Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Arrival in Patan

    You'll arrive at your lodge in Patan and get settled in. After that, take time to wander around the neighborhoods near Durbar Square at your own pace, checking out the temples, palaces, statues, and local craft shops. The evening is yours to rest and arrange your own dinner.

  2. Day 2

    Kathmandu Valley Exploration

    Head to Swayambhunath, known as the 'Monkey Temple,' one of Nepal's most important Buddhist stupas. From the hilltop you'll get good views of Kathmandu. Spend the afternoon on your own exploring the city, then join the group for a welcome dinner in the evening.

  3. Day 3

    Jeep Transfer to Manaslu Region

    You'll depart Kathmandu for an 8-9 hour private jeep ride through scenic Nepalese countryside heading to the Manaslu region. After arriving in the evening, you'll rest up and prepare for starting the trek tomorrow. Most nights will be in Nepali tea houses, though tent camping is available as backup if the trail gets busy.

  4. Day 4

    Suspension Bridge to Machha Khola

    The trek begins by crossing a suspension bridge and hiking through sal forest past vertical rock walls, waterfalls, and rice terraces to reach the Gurung village. You'll continue hiking behind rocky outcroppings and down a sandy riverbed, arriving at Machha Khola for the night.

  5. Day 5

    Machha Khola to Jagat

  6. Day 6

    Jagat to Deng

    Start by climbing over a rocky ridge to Salleri, then descend to Sirdibas. As the valley widens, you'll trek through Ghatta Khola, then tackle steeper terrain before descending into grasslands to reach the small village of Deng.

  7. Day 7

    Deng to Namrung

    Pass by carved stone Mani walls and several Buddhist monasteries called Gompas on your trek. Watch for the Danphe, Nepal's colorful national bird, as you make your way to the village of Namrung.

  8. Day 8

    Namrung to Samagaon

    Continue ascending approximately 3,000 feet to reach Samagaon. You'll take in mountain views along the way, visit Buddhist monasteries, and pass by prayer wheels during the hike.

  9. Day 9

    Birendra Tal Lake and Manaslu Base Camp

    Start the day with a visit to Birendra Tal Lake, then hike to Manaslu Base Camp perched high above the clouds. After resting at base camp, you'll trek back to Samagaon. During the day you'll learn about Sherpa culture and traditions, and visit the oldest Gompa (Monastery) in Samagaon.

    Samagaon to Samdo

    After breakfast, descend toward the Budhi Ghandaki River and hike through juniper and birch forests of the Kermo Kharka. Climb steeply between two river forks to reach Samdo.

  11. Day 11

    Acclimatization Day in Samdo

    Spend the day resting and acclimatizing in Samdo with excellent views of Mt. Manaslu and other Himalayan peaks. Look for mountain birds like the Lophophorus, Lammergeyer, and Himalayan Griffin soaring above seasonal herding settlements.

    Samdo to Dharamsala

    Hike on the historic trade route to Tibet as it descends to the river. Cross a wooden bridge and continue upward past more Mani Walls. Trek through tundra and juniper forests with views of Larky Glacier and the Salka Khola Valley before reaching Dharamsala.

    Larkya La Pass to Bhimthang

    Rise early and hike over the Larkya La pass at 16,924 ft where conditions can be cold and windy, but you'll be rewarded with views of 23,000+ ft peaks including Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, Gyaji Kung, Kang Guru, and Annapurna II. Descend along a moraine, then tackle steep switchbacks to reach Bhimthang.

  14. Day 14

    Bhimthang to Trek Endpoint

    Descend across high pastures and cross the Dudh Khola River. Continue into beautiful pine and rhododendron forests. Trek over a past landslide, across several fields, then climb over a ridge decorated with prayer flags.

    Thonje to Tal

    Trek across a small ridge and along stone paved trails, crossing the Dudh Khola river again. Climb through a stupa-shaped arch and pass another Mani wall. From here the trail is mostly downhill to Tal, where you'll see the nice waterfall in the village.

    • For any tour departing before January 18th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after January 18th, 2026, a minimum payment of $1,750 is required to confirm your booking with OneSeed Expeditions. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
