Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Chachapoyas
You'll arrive at Jaén airport and get transferred by car to Chachapoyas, which takes about 4 hours. Once you reach your hotel, you'll have the rest of the day to check in and relax after traveling.

Kuelap Archaeological Zone
Drive to Nuevo Tingo in about an hour, then take the gondola up to Kuelap. Start at the interpretation center, then walk roughly 30 minutes to see the fortress walls at Kuelap Archaeological Zone. After that, the cable car brings you back down. You'll grab lunch in Tingo and return to Chachapoyas with a stop at a viewpoint overlooking Macro Archaeological Site.

Gocta Waterfall
Head to Cocachimba by car for an hour, then hike for 2.5 hours to reach Gocta Waterfall. You can take photos and swim if you want, though the water sits at 8°C/46°F so it's quite cold. Back in Cocachimba, lunch is at The Hummingbird restaurant before driving back to Chachapoyas.
