We highly recommend UniWorld cruises. The service and staff are impeccable, the daily tour offerings are well planned with knowledgeable tour guides, the meals well prepared and delicious, the accommodations clean and comfortable and the cost well worth paying a bit extra because the cruise is truly all inclusive. There are no hidden fees.

The ship was in good shape, except for the fact that the elevator broke after the first day of the cruise and it was out for the rest of the cruise. The staff on board was excellent as was the food. It would have been nice to have had more local Dutch dishes included in the menu. The big disappointment was the availability and quality of the excursions. Two of the excursions that we asked to go on were unavailable. One of them was the Ann Frank House. The activity director explained that tickets had been ordered months in advance and that more were not available. He also said that only 14 were available at the start of the cruise. The Ann Frank House is a major attraction; and with 84 guests on the ship, it should have been clear in advance that more tickets would be needed. The trips that were available were poorly planned, with very long bus rides to have very short time at disappointing attractions. The guide for our trip to see windmills took us to cheese making and wooden shoe making demonstrations, which were interesting. However, she then left us to explore the windmills (which were what we came to see) on our own.

Does the deluxe french balcony have a balcony and one we can sit outside our room?

    Accommodation
    • Uniworld Boutique River Cruise CollectionOperatorWritten August 2023

A French balcony is a balcony that you cannot step out onto. The cabin will have floor to ceiling sliding doors that open to a railing, but no space for furniture. It offers fresh air and the feel of a veranda, but with no outside space. Mostly all upper cabins have French Balcony except the Classic cabin.

As an online booking platform, TourRadar is not a visa authority. Visa requirements are regularly updated and vary from one traveler to the next. We highly recommend checking this information with your embassy. Based on the April 16th 2024 date, final payment would be due December 2023.
