Itinerary
- Day 1
Nairobi to Maasai Mara
Your driver picks you up from your Nairobi hotel around 7AM, and then you'll head toward Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Along the way, there's a stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint where you can take in the landscape. You'll arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive before settling in for dinner and your overnight stay.

Maasai Mara
Start with breakfast, then spend the full day on game drives through Maasai Mara with a packed lunch included. You'll have the chance to spot black-maned lions and work toward seeing the Big Five, plus all sorts of other wildlife. One thing you'll notice is how tame the cheetahs can be here, often hanging out right under the vehicles for shade. The reserve is home to around 500 bird species, so keep your eyes up too.

Maasai Mara to Serengeti
After breakfast, you'll leave Maasai Mara and head toward the Kenya-Tanzania border to handle immigration paperwork. From there, it's on to Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. This is one of those long driving days, but you'll have game drives between the parks which can turn up some real wildlife sightings along the way.

Landmarks/POIs Serengeti National Park - Day 4
Serengeti
You have the full day to explore Serengeti with a flexible schedule and unlimited mileage for your driver. The park covers about 6,900 square miles of open plains where you'll see huge concentrations of animals, over a million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and Thomson's gazelles spread across the landscape. Lions, cheetahs, and hyenas hunt throughout the area, and you'll also find nearly 500 bird species. An afternoon game drive takes you back toward your campsite.

Landmarks/POIs Serengeti National Park - Day 5
Serengeti to Ngorongoro
Wake up early for a morning game drive to catch wildlife when they're most active and to see the African sunrise. You'll head back to camp for brunch afterward. In the afternoon, you transfer to Ngorongoro, which has 2,000 foot high walls and a 102 square mile crater floor. Nearly every East African species lives here, including rare black rhinos, making it one of the most concentrated wildlife areas around.

Ngorongoro to Arusha
Head out early and descend into the Ngorongoro crater floor for a morning of wildlife viewing in one of the most remarkable spots in Africa. After your game drive, you'll have a picnic lunch near the hippo lake. There's time for a short game drive in the afternoon before you start ascending back up the crater and heading toward Arusha, where you should arrive around 5pm.
