  1. Day 1

    Kathmandu

    You'll land in Kathmandu where Alpine Club of Himalaya handles your airport pickup and gets you settled at your hotel. Spend the afternoon resting in your room after the journey. Come evening, there's a welcome dinner with authentic Nepalese food and a chance to learn about local cuisine from your hosts.

  2. Day 2

    Kathmandu

    After breakfast, a guided tour takes you through Kathmandu's UNESCO sites including Durbar Square with its Malla Dynasty architecture, then the Monkey Temple at Swayambhunath where you'll see the resident monkeys. Next, you visit Pashupatinath Temple on the Bagmati River banks, and wrap up at Boudhanath Stupa, one of South Asia's largest, sitting along the old Tibet trade route.

    Kathmandu to Pokhara

    Following breakfast, drive along Prithvi Highway for about 5-6 hours to reach Pokhara, winding past the Trishuli and Marsyangdi rivers. Once there, check out the Seti River gorge, Davis Fall waterfall, Gupteshwar Cave and the bat cave. Later, walk around Phewa Lake with views of the Himalayas, then head out for dinner at local restaurants and pubs.

You'll meet locals, try mandarins and oranges from the area, taste honey, and stay at a community lodge eating traditional food.

  5. Day 5

    Banskharka

    This day focuses on the citrus farms where you walk through and talk with local farmers about their crops and methods. You'll also meet retired British Gurkhas during your time there. By evening, there's a cultural program with local dances and authentic rural Nepalese meals.

    Banskharka to Nagi

    You get to pick your route today. Either trek through Banmare village with its terraced fields and hill landscapes, or go through high-altitude pine and rhododendron forests where wild deer, birds, and butterflies show up sometimes. Both paths lead to Nagi village by late afternoon where there's a cultural show with local food and millet liquor.

It's a good chance to understand the region's culture better.

    Head to Pokhara by way of Mallaj Lekhphant in Parbat District, seeing hilly terrain along the way. Stop for lunch at Ratamata, then spend 2-3 hours at Gram Prakash Higher Secondary School meeting teachers and students.

  12. Day 12

    Pokhara

    Depart early for Sarangkot hill to catch the sunrise over the Himalayas with panoramic views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri to the north and Pokhara to the south. Back in Pokhara, check out Davis Falls with its narrow canal, Shiva Cave shrine, and take a boat on Phewa Lake. Also see the International Mountain Museum about Himalayan climbing history and visit the Tibetan refugee camp to watch carpet and handicraft makers.

    After breakfast, leave Pokhara and drive back toward Kathmandu through scenic countryside along riverbanks with rural Nepali life visible. Once in Kathmandu, rest or pick up souvenirs. At night, there's a farewell dinner celebrating the end of your trip.

    • For any tour departing before February 17th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after February 17th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Alpine Club of Himalaya. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
