Kigali
You'll be picked up from the airport and taken to your accommodation in Kigali. If you land early, there's time to walk around the city and check out some of the local historic sites that give it character.

- Day 2
Volcanoes National Park
Start by visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial to learn about the 1994 genocide. After that, take a community walk through Nyamirambo and grab lunch at the Nyamirambo Women's Centre. In the afternoon, head north to your lodge near Volcanoes National Park where you can see the volcanic peaks from your room.

- Day 3
Volcanoes National Park
Trek through the jungle with a ranger to track golden monkeys in their habitat. Then visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Karisoke Research Center to see exhibits and learn about gorilla conservation from the experts working there.

Landmarks Karisoke Research Center - Day 4
Volcanoes National Park
Head out early with a ranger to search for mountain gorillas in the jungle. The trek duration changes depending on where the gorillas are that day. After returning for lunch, visit a nearby village to see how people live in rural areas.

Akagera National Park
Travel back to Kigali for lunch, then continue east to Akagera National Park. Stop at African Parks headquarters to learn how the park recovered from conflict, then check into your lodge overlooking Lake Ihema.

Akagera National Park
Wake up before sunrise for an early safari drive looking for lions, buffalo, and other wildlife. Return for lunch and downtime at the lodge. Later in the afternoon, take a boat ride on Lake Ihema to spot hippos, crocodiles, and birds like fish eagles and shoebill storks.

Kigali
Head out early with a packed breakfast for your final safari when animals are most active. Look for giraffes, zebras, and leopards as you drive. Later that morning, leave through the northern edge and drive back to Kigali.

Nairobi
Fly from Kigali to Nairobi and transfer to your hotel. Spend time exploring the city on your own, then meet your group back at the hotel for an orientation meeting where you'll meet your Kenyan CEO and other travelers joining for the next part.

Lake Nakuru National Park
Travel early to Lake Nakuru, known for its pink flamingos and many bird species. Arrive at your lodge inside the national park in time for lunch, then go out for a late afternoon drive to look for rhinos.

Lake Naivasha
Listen to a talk from a Kenya Wildlife Service representative about poaching and conservation. Then head south through the Great Rift Valley to Lake Naivasha for a boat cruise watching hippos and birds. Later, walk around Crescent Island wildlife sanctuary to see wildebeest, zebras, and giraffes.

Masai Mara National Reserve

Masai Mara National Reserve

Nairobi
Watch the sunrise over the savanna on your final safari in Masai Mara. Head back to Nairobi with a stop at Café Ubuntu, a G Adventures project that trains local women. Grab lunch there and meet the artisans, then drive back to the city. You can join your CEO for a farewell dinner if you'd like.
