Delhi
Start your trip in Delhi by checking out the Red Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site with centuries of history behind its red sandstone walls. From there, head to Jama Masjid, one of India's largest mosques, then spend time at Raj Ghat where Mahatma Gandhi's memorial sits peacefully by the river. Finish the day at Humayun's Tomb, where you can walk through the gardens and see the intricate Mughal architecture up close.

Delhi to Ahmedabad
Fly to Ahmedabad this morning and get settled. Spend the afternoon visiting Sabarmati Ashram, Gandhi's former home where he lived during India's independence movement. Then explore the city's Jama Masjid and the Sidi Saiyyed Mosque, where you'll notice the intricate stone lattice screens that let light filter through in beautiful patterns.

Ahmedabad to Kevadia
Drive to Kevadia and visit the Statue of Unity, a massive tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. You'll also see the Sardar Sarovar Dam and can spend time taking in views of the Narmada River flowing through the landscape. The scale of these structures really gives you a sense of the engineering involved.

Kevadia to Vadodara

Vadodara to Bhavnagar

Bhavnagar
You have a flexible day in Bhavnagar. If you're up for it, take the optional trip to Palitana Jain temples, a pilgrimage site where you'll climb about 4,000 steps to reach the top temples adorned with intricate marble work. Otherwise, relax in town and explore at your own pace.

- Day 7
Bhavnagar to Diu
Drive to Diu, a coastal town with a different feel from the inland cities. Spend time at Diu Fort, a Portuguese structure that overlooks the Arabian Sea with centuries of maritime history. Visit St. Paul's Church afterward to see its Baroque-style architecture and details.

Diu to Sasan Gir
Head to Sasan Gir National Park for a jeep safari in search of Asiatic lions, animals found in very few places left in the world. You'll also spot various deer, antelopes, and other wildlife moving through their natural habitat. Return to your lodge by evening after an active day.

Sasan Gir

Sasan Gir to Wankaner

Wankaner to Ahmedabad/Delhi

Delhi
Back in Delhi, visit Qutub Minar, a tall minaret that's been standing for centuries, then wander through the chaotic energy of Chandni Chowk market where vendors sell everything from spices to textiles. Afterward, head to the airport to start your journey home.
