Itinerary
- Day 1
Athens to Nafplio
Your driver collects you from your Athens hotel early in the morning and heads south toward the Peloponnese. You'll start at the Canal of Corinth, a narrow waterway cutting through limestone cliffs that connects two seas. From there, walk through Ancient Corinth to see the remaining temple columns and structures, then travel to the Theatre of Epidaurus, which still hosts performances today thanks to its near-perfect acoustics. Mycenae comes next, where you can see the famous Gate of Lions and massive stone structures from the Bronze Age. By afternoon you'll reach Nafplio, set on a bay with colorful buildings and harbor views. The old town has narrow streets to wander, a castle perched above town, and boats departing to Bourtzi, a small fortress island just offshore.

- Day 2
Nafplio to Olympia
This morning you leave Nafplio and drive inland to Sparta to visit the Museum of Olive Oil and learn about the region's production methods. Then head to Mystras, a hilltop settlement with Byzantine churches, monasteries, and two distinct town sections to explore. Later you'll reach Monemvassia, a stone village built on a rocky peninsula jutting into the sea, with narrow cobblestone walkways between restored stone houses. The drive to Ancient Olympia takes several hours, so you'll arrive in the evening and settle in for the night there.

- Day 3
Olympia to Delphi
After breakfast, walk through Ancient Olympia where the Olympic Games began thousands of years ago, seeing the Temple of Zeus remains and the old stadium where athletes competed. Next is a local market for tastings of the region's wine and olive oil, then a stop at a honey farm to see how beekeeping works and try different honey varieties. Later you'll drive to the coastal town of Naupactus to visit the Venetian Castle and walk by the port. From there, continue northeast to Delphi for the night, arriving as evening settles in.

- Day 4
Delphi to Meteora
Starting with breakfast, you visit Delphi's main sites including the Ancient Oracle location, the Stadium carved into a hillside, and the Theatre which held over 5,000 people and still has great views down the valley. The Museum of Delphi displays finds from the site. Later you can stop in Arachova village for coffee or lunch at a local place before driving south through central Greece. The road passes through Lamia, then continues toward Kalambaka, a small town surrounded by massive grey rock formations. You'll spend the night here with views of Meteora's dramatic landscape.

- Day 5
Meteora to Thessaloniki
Your driver picks you up at 09:00 to visit the UNESCO-protected Byzantine Monasteries of Meteora perched on massive rock pillars. You'll see the Holy Monastery of Great Meteoro, the largest and oldest, built on an enormous rock formation, and the Monastery of St. Stephan constructed in the 16th century with historic frescoes inside. Later you drive to Vergina where a museum built beneath a large earthen mound contains royal tombs from ancient Macedonia, including treasures from King Phillip II. Before heading to Thessaloniki for the night, you'll also visit Saint Paul's Bema in the nearby town of Veria.

Thessaloniki to Macedonian Sites
You head out in the morning to explore ancient Macedonian sites. First stop is Pella, birthplace of Alexander the Great, where you can see intricate floor mosaics from the 4th century B.C. both at the archaeological site and in its museum. Edessa comes next, known for its waterfalls that drop from the hillside into the valley below. Then continue to Naoussa to see Aristotle's School, the location where the philosopher taught Alexander the Great and other Macedonian youth. After visiting this historic site, you return to Thessaloniki for the night.

Thessaloniki to Athens
After breakfast, you leave Thessaloniki heading south through Thessaly region. The first major stop is the Archaeological Park of Dion, sacred to ancient Macedonians and positioned at the base of Mount Olympus. Continuing south, you'll pass through Lamia and stop at Thermopylae to see the statue of Leonidas honoring the 300 Spartans who fought there against Persian forces. The route then passes through Thebes before arriving back at your hotel in Athens late in the afternoon, concluding the tour.
