Antananarivo to Ampefy
Your team picks you up at the hotel and heads west from Antananarivo toward Ampefy through the Itasy region. Along the drive you'll pass traditional villages, rice terraces, and volcanic landscapes before reaching Ambohitrimarimanjaka with its Virgin Mary statue. After a picnic lunch, you'll check out the Amparaky Geyser and Lily Waterfall. By evening you'll settle into your hotel by Lake Itasy, giving you time to relax after the day's travel and exploration.

Ampefy to Antananarivo
This morning starts with a walk to the crater for panoramic views of Lake Itasy, then you'll take a pirogue out to the islet of the Virgin. From there the drive back toward Antananarivo includes stops at small villages where you can meet locals and get a sense of daily life. Before reaching the capital, you'll visit Lemurs' Park (5 hectares with 11,000 endemic trees and 7 lemur species). Then you'll explore the cultural site Rova of Antongona on one of the 12 sacred hills, check out the Queen's Palace, and catch the sunset views over the city.
