Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Arusha to Arusha National Park

After breakfast, you'll head from Arusha or Moshi toward Arusha National Park. Once there, you can pick how you want to spend the day. A half-day or full-day game drive takes you past Momella Lakes and Ngurdoto Crater, or if you'd rather be on the water, there's a guided canoe safari available. For something different, you could do a walking safari through the forest instead. Feel free to mix and match activities, though the canoe and walking options cost extra. By late afternoon, you'll head back to Arusha.

  2. Day 2

Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park

This morning after breakfast, you'll drive about two hours from Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park. Along the way, stop at Mto Wa Mbu, a market town where you can learn about local cultures and pick up souvenirs. Once in the park, look for the famous tree-climbing lions draped across acacia branches. Bird watchers have plenty to see, from flamingos to lilac-breasted rollers and various raptors. After exploring the park, head to your accommodation for dinner.

You'll travel through rainforests in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where cape buffalo, baboons, elephants, and leopards roam. Two optional stops are available at extra cost, the Oldupai Gorge Museum or a Maasai boma for traditional dance and village visits. After lunch at a park picnic area, you'll enter the Serengeti to see its expansive savannah and wildlife. Settle in at your accommodation for dinner.

Massive herds of wildebeest and zebras move together across the landscape, and you'll see giraffes, antelopes, gazelles, elephants, and predators like cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, and lions. From your open-top vehicle, search for endangered black rhinoceros and watch for large hippo populations. You'll spot predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas alongside herbivores such as wildebeest, zebras, antelopes, and buffalo. Lunch happens by the hippo pool, then you return to Karatu for dinner.

  6. Day 6

    Karatu to Tarangire National Park

You'll leave early and head south to Tarangire, a national park that doesn't get as much attention as some others. Inside the park, the Tarangire River winds through acacia and baobab trees, and wildlife comes through constantly. During dry season, thousands of animals migrate here from the Masai steppe looking for water, so you'll see dozens of species including endangered Greater Kudu, Fringe-Eared Oryx, and Ashy Starlings. Lunch is a picnic by the river with views, though keep your food secure from local monkeys. Late afternoon, you'll drive back to Arusha.

What can I say? We booked with safari soles and they really went above and beyond. We originally contacted a number of safari tour operators narrowing it down to three or four. Safari soles really stood out from the crowd. Brysons communication is excellent. We were able to make several changes and Bryson accommodated everything for us. He was always quick to respond and provided a really detailed itinerary. We were picked up on time and had the best time. Our transfer drivers to and from the airport were lovely and the entire trip was exactly as promised. Bryson booked some wonderful accommodations for us, and the route we took was well thought out giving us sufficient time in each park but also time to relax and soak in the amazing areas where we stayed. The absolute icing on the cake though was our guide Elias. He was so knowledgeable, warm and friendly. He was fun to be around and politely laughed at all our jokes, even the ones that weren't funny. He was a total gentleman and really made our trip so much more wonderful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend safari soles for anyone looking for a top class safari operator

The trip was very nice. The guests were very happy. We traveled without any obstacles on the road. We managed to go to the highest waterfall in Tanzania (Materuni) and also to the mines where the minerals of Tanzania are mined very pleasant.I personally would like to welcome other visitors to Tanzania, the only country with so many attractions in the world, thank you very much
