Fez
Your Moroccan journey kicks off in Fez with a 09:00 guided tour through the UNESCO-listed Old Town. You'll walk through centuries of history, checking out the 14th-century Bou Inania Madrasa and the Dar Batha Museum. The Fez El Bali souk is next, where traditional leather tanneries and craft shops line the winding streets. Before settling in for the night, you'll find some quiet time at the Bou Jeloud Gardens.

Fez to Merzouga
Leaving Fez behind, you head south through the Middle Atlas Mountains and the Ziz Valley, passing Berber villages and seeing the landscape shift as you approach Merzouga and the Sahara. Once you arrive, it's camel trekking across the Erg Chebbi dunes, with the sunset painting the sand in gold and orange. Dinner happens in a nomad tent where you'll have traditional Berber food and live entertainment before sleeping under desert stars.

Merzouga to Ouarzazate
An optional sunrise over the dunes gets the day started if you're up for it, then you drive toward Ouarzazate via Boumalne Dades. The Dades Valley comes with kasbahs, palmeries, and traditional Berber homes to see, plus the Todra Gorges if hiking appeals to you. After lunch, the Atlas Film Studios show where movies like Gladiator were shot, and you'll tour the Kasbah of Taourirt before overnight stays in a kasbah.

Ouarzazate to Marrakech
Today takes you through the Atlas Mountains toward Marrakech, but first you stop at Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO site and one of Morocco's best-kept kasbahs. You'll recognize it from filming locations for major movies. From there, it's on to Marrakech where you'll get settled into your place for the night in this lively southern city.

Marrakech
A full day in Marrakech starts with the Koutoubia Mosque and its impressive minaret, then moves to the 16th-17th century Saadian Tombs and the detailed tilework of Bahia Palace with its gardens. You'll navigate the busy souks after that, grab lunch, then check out the Jardin Secret, an Islamic palace garden that's been there for over 400 years. The day wraps at the Menara Gardens where olive groves meet views of the Atlas.

Marrakech to Casablanca
You leave Marrakech and head to the coastal city of Casablanca, starting a 14:00 guided tour once there. The Hassan II Mosque is a major stop, one of the world's largest and quite the architectural achievement. Next comes the Habous quarter with its traditional feel and busy souks, then United Nations Square, the Central Market, and Mohammad V Avenue rounds out your introduction to this vibrant city.

Casablanca to Fez via Rabat and Volubilis
This morning at 09:00 you're in Rabat seeing the Royal Palace, Hassan Tower, and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V for a sense of Morocco's heritage. Then you continue to Volubilis to walk through one of North Africa's best-kept Roman ruins dating to the 3rd century BC, where the Capitoline Temple, Basilica, and old houses still stand. You'll end this day in Fez.
