Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Quito

You'll land at Mariscal Sucre International Airport and head to your hotel in Quito's city center. The capital sits high in the mountains at about 9,350 feet, so take the afternoon to settle in and get acclimated. Walk around the colonial plazas, check out the local markets, and get a feel for the dining scene. You've got plenty of restaurants ranging from casual to upscale, so grab dinner somewhere that catches your eye once you're ready.

  2. Day 2

    Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, Galápagos

An early flight gets you to the Galapagos Islands and Puerto Baquerizo Moreno on San Cristobal. After checking into your accommodations, head to the Interpretation Center to learn about the islands' unique history and ecology. Later in the afternoon, hike up to Tijeretas Hill where you can watch nesting frigate birds and take in the views across the islands. The light's usually best in late afternoon here.

  3. Day 3

    San Cristobal Island, Galápagos

This day is yours to plan. You can relax at Playa Carola or Playa Mann where sea lions hang out right on the sand, so bring a book and spend hours just watching them. If you'd rather stay active, there are optional trips to Pitt Point or Witch's Hill with scenic hikes through the natural landscape. Either way, you'll get a real sense of island life without the structure of a group tour.

After an early breakfast, you'll head out on a speedboat to Kicker Rock, this dramatic volcanic formation rising straight out of the ocean. Look for Nazca boobies, blue-footed boobies, and tropicbirds wheeling around the rocks. Jump in the water for snorkeling where you might spot rays and tropical fish. Lunch comes on the boat, then you'll have time at a secluded beach before heading back to Puerto Baquerizo Moreno by late afternoon.

  5. Day 5

    Española Island, Galápagos

After hiking, eat lunch back on the boat, then get in the water for snorkeling among tropical fish, rays, and other marine life. You'll return to San Cristobal port in the late afternoon with time to grab dinner and rest.

  6. Day 6

    San Cristobal to Quito

*🌟 Unforgettable 10-Day Galápagos Adventure — Seamless, Warm & Wonderfully Personal 🌟* We had an incredible 10-day island-hopping experience in the Galápagos, exploring both Santa Cruz and Isabela Islands. From start to finish, we were personally looked after with genuine care and attention. The TourRadar team was fantastic — always right at our front door to ensure we arrived and departed for each destination on time. Their warmth, love, and constant care made the entire journey feel smooth and stress-free. In Santa Cruz, our stay at Coloma Hotel was made special by Fernanda and Alexander, whose hospitality was heartfelt and sincere. A highlight was the freshly brewed afternoon coffee they prepared just for us — a thoughtful and personal touch. In Isabela Island, we were warmly welcomed at Loja Hotel. Diego Montalvo and his team took excellent care of us — the rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the peaceful atmosphere was perfect for relaxing. A lovely poolside gala dinner was arranged for our last evening (Sept 14), which we truly appreciated, although the food didn’t quite meet expectations (some of the meats were overcooked). That aside, everything else was handled with such attention and warmth. We’re truly grateful for the seamless planning, kind hospitality, and unforgettable memories. Highly recommended for anyone planning a Galápagos adventure! With love from The Warm & Joyful Malaysian Group — Heng, Chiu & Yap

I hadn't planned on going to the Ecuadorian Amazon, it was just by chance I saw it, as I was booking my accomadation in Ecuador. It was a true privilege to be welcomed at the Napo Cultural Centre and live amongst the Kichwa community, that uphold their traditions to this day. They all welcomed me with smiles and open arms, although many don't speak English or Spanish I could get by and learnt some of their Kichwa along the way! They are all very humble and and take great pride in their jungle and preserving what they can, hence putting bans on hunting animals and fighting to keep their land. There were only 2 of us that stayed at the lodge which was fine as we had a guide each. My guide was absolutely amazing, his ability to spot wildlife is unbelievable. I think we saw 8 different types of monkey species, parakeets, different types of birds....the only thing outstanding that I wanted to see was the sloth and anaconda. On my last day after coming back to the lodge at midday he text me to say come to main area, he had found the sloth. I couldn't of been happier. My guide was very much, what did I want to see and get out of this trip. The rooms are comfortable and water is replaced everyday, the rooms are made up everyday. There's a ceiling fan and a fridge with various drinks. The meals served are amazing and you never go hungry. They also have a bar where you can get other drinks. As this is within the community you do get to mix with the other families that live there, mainly the children as they come for school in the morning and leave in the afternoon. The owners and those that work there are all very nice and accomodating, I had the best time there. I think the best part for me was the canoe ride down the Napo river, gave me a chance to really see lots of different types of animals and true Amozonien life. It was tough for my guide and the other gentleman who were canoeing for about an hour. But it was fantastic. Highly recommended this trip, you do have the option of 3 different types of accommodation. I liked this one as it was part of a community and you could see how everyone goes about daily life. And you can tell its a very tight community.

The 7 day Galapagos Islands tour is a good way to see 3 of the many islands. There are many early mornings activities so it was reassuring to have some free time before dinner. On the 3 mornings that require very early transfers, we only got breakfast once. The transfers require a short taxi ute ride followed by a short boat ride ($1 cost) before reaching the ferry (do not sit at the front as you will feel every bump and may not get fresh air (think fumes)). We selected Standard accommodation and we were disappointed with the lack of expected facilities (no chair to sit on, no towel rack, room facing the main street) but at least they had running water (once it was fixed at 1 hotel), a bed and air conditioning (1 sounded like a jet engine). The tours were great and catered for all participants (languages and speed of walking). If you do the hike to Sierra Negra, ensure you have good boots, sun cream, plenty of water and snacks and maybe walking poles to cope with the rough terrain after reaching the craters rim. If you go snorkelling ensure you hire wetsuits and we thought they were provided - they were only once provided out of the 3 occasions. Josselyn was very helpful notifying us of changes to times and fixing some of the accommodation problems.
