- Day 1
Kolkata
You'll land at Kolkata airport where an UncleSam Holidays representative meets you for the drive to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to settle in and relax after travel.

Kolkata to Kaziranga
After breakfast you'll check out and head to the airport for your flight to Guwahati. Once you arrive, it's a transfer to your hotel in Kaziranga. This wildlife reserve was established back in 1926 specifically to protect the greater one-horned rhinos that live here.

- Day 3
Kaziranga
You're up early for a jeep or elephant-back safari through Kaziranga to see the wildlife. The park holds the world's largest population of Indian rhinoceros and elephants, plus tigers, leopards, and other threatened species. Back at the hotel to freshen up before an afternoon safari where you can get photos of the animals.

Landmarks Kaziranga National Park - Day 4
Kaziranga to Darjeeling
After breakfast you'll check out and make your way to Guwahati airport for your flight to Bagdogra. From there it's a transfer to your Darjeeling hotel. You have the rest of the day free to do as you like.

- Day 5
Darjeeling
Starting early around 4 AM, you'll head to Tiger Hill at 8,364 ft/2,550 m to watch the sunrise over Kanchenjunga Peak (weather depending). On the way back down, you'll stop at Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. The afternoon and evening are free for you to spend however you'd like.

Darjeeling
After breakfast begins a full-day guided tour around Darjeeling. You'll visit the Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tenzing & Gombu Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center, and a tea estate. Your evening is free for leisure.

Darjeeling to Phuentsholing
After breakfast you'll check out from the hotel and drive to Phuentsholing, Bhutan's second largest town. This is your introduction to the country as you travel through its landscapes.

Phuentsholing to Thimphu

- Day 9
Thimphu
After breakfast you're on a full-day guided tour of Thimphu visiting Tashichho Dzong, BBS Tower, Government Run Handicraft Emporium, National Memorial Chorten, Buddha View Point, Folk Heritage Museum, National Textile Museums, and the Zoo. You'll also see the outside of the National Institute of Traditional Medicine. The rest of the day is free.

Thimphu to Punakha
After breakfast you'll check out and drive toward Punakha along a scenic route. You'll cross over Dochu La Pass with views of the Himalayan mountains that form Bhutan's northern border. A stop at a traditional farmhouse gives you an authentic village experience. These farmhouses are colorful and decorative, built traditionally with mud and stones. You'll check in at your Punakha hotel.

- Day 11
Punakha
After breakfast you'll take a guided tour of Punakha including the Punakha Dzong, a 17th-century fortress and the largest in the country. In the afternoon, you'll visit the Nalanda Buddhist Institute to meet Buddhist monks and enjoy mountain views. The rest of the day is free for leisure.

Punakha to Paro
After breakfast you'll check out and proceed to Paro. You'll check in at your hotel and get refreshed. First you'll visit Ta Dzong, a former watchtower from Paro Dzong that was converted in 1968 to house the National Museum of Bhutan. Later, you'll take a cooking class learning to prepare spicy Bhutanese cuisine.

- Day 13
Paro
After breakfast you'll hike to the iconic 300-year-old Tiger's Nest Monastery, where Guru Padmasambhava is said to have landed on a tiger's back in the 8th century. The round trip takes about 5 hours. Next you'll visit Ta Dzong and its National Museum with its collection of antique thangka paintings, textiles, weapons, armor, and other artifacts. Then a short walk to Rinpung Dzong features fine wall paintings showing Buddhist lore and cosmic mandalas in the wooden galleries. By evening you'll stroll Paro's main street, checking out shops and the local market.
