Itinerary
- Day 1
Negombo
You'll land in Sri Lanka and get a warm greeting as you're driven to your hotel in Negombo. The ride gives you your first look at local life along the way. This afternoon is yours to spend however you'd like, whether that's taking a walk on the beach, swimming, or just resting up. When evening rolls around, there's a welcome dinner and drinks to meet everyone and settle in.

- Day 2
Negombo to Sigiriya
After breakfast, you'll head toward Sigiriya along the Royal Route and stop at the Dambulla Caves, an old Buddhist temple with rock paintings and intricate carvings. As evening approaches, there's a short hike up to Pidurangala rock to check out the monastery there. If you're interested in wildlife, you can arrange a 4x4 safari to see elephants and other animals in the nearby national parks, though that's optional.

- Day 3
Sigiriya
Start early to climb Sigiriya Rock before the heat becomes too intense, getting photos of the rock formation and the landscape around it. After you climb back down, breakfast is waiting at the hotel. Later in the day, you'll trek through the trails around Hiriwadunna Village to see how people actually live in rural Sri Lanka, and you'll have lunch there too with local food.

Sigiriya to Kandy
After breakfast, you'll drive to Kandy, which is the cultural and religious center of the island. You'll stop at Nalanda Gedige, then head to the Matale Spice Garden to learn about spices and their uses in traditional medicine. There's time at the Gem Museum and a Hindu temple before reaching the Temple of the Tooth Relic, the country's most sacred site. The day finishes with a city tour that includes traditional Kandyan dance and drum performances.

Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
Starting with breakfast, you'll go to the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens to walk through gardens full of roses, lilies, and plants native to Sri Lanka. From there, you'll head up to a tea factory in the mountains to see how tea is processed after being picked. You'll pass Ramboda Falls and drive through tea plantations before arriving in Nuwara Eliya, a hill station with a cool climate and colonial feel.

- Day 6
Nuwara Eliya to Ella
After breakfast, you'll check out Nuwara Eliya's main sites like the Post Office and The Grand Hotel, plus Gregory Lake and Victoria Park. Then you'll transfer to Ella, a town in the hills surrounded by tea plantations. Later that evening, you can hike up Little Adam's Peak to see views of the valleys and plantations below. If adventure appeals to you, there are optional activities like ziplining and the Ella Swing.

Ella to Tissamaharama
After breakfast, you're heading south toward Tissamaharama with stops at Ravana Fall and the Buduruwagala Rock Temple. The main event is the Yala Safari, a 4x4 ride through one of the island's biggest national parks where you'll look for leopards and other wildlife. The day ends back at your hotel with stargazing as the sun goes down.

Tissamaharama
After breakfast, you'll take a tuk tuk around Tissamaharama village through rice paddies and fields to get a feel for real village life. You'll visit five ancient tanks, which are large reservoirs built by kings long ago. Then it's travel time to Mirissa and your beach resort. Spend the afternoon however you want, whether that's walks on the sand, swimming, or just resting before tomorrow.

- Day 9
Mirissa
You'll need to wake at 6:30 am for the whale watching boat tour from Mirissa. When you get back to the hotel, the rest of the day is open for exploring at your own pace. Visit Parrot Rock, catch the sunset from Coconut Tree Hill, and enjoy time at the hotel's beachfront area.

Mirissa to Bentota and back to Mirissa
After breakfast at Mirissa, you'll drive south along the coast to Bentota with great views of the ocean. You'll stop at the Sea Turtle Hatchery to learn about sea turtles and take photos with the younger ones. Then there's Galle Fort, built by Portuguese and Dutch settlers with colonial-era buildings still standing. A boat ride through the Madhu River mangroves comes next before you head back to Mirissa for the night.

Mirissa to Colombo
After breakfast, you'll pack and drive west toward Colombo, stopping at the Tsunami Memorial along the way. Colombo feels quite different from everywhere you've been, with busy streets and tall buildings everywhere. You'll visit the Gangaramaya Buddhist Temple and the Colombo Museum to learn about the island's history. An evening city tour includes shopping for souvenirs at department stores before settling into your luxury hotel.
